    "Will he die?"
    "I will NOT let him."
    This should tell us all we need to know about Freya.

      Small details become big ones in stories like these. You never think much of them until they come into play later.

      It’s crazy too when you put into context, that in actual Norse Mythology, because she is the Valkyrie queen; she is also a goddess of Death. (Alongside also being a goddess of Magic, War, & Love).
      It really puts into perspective how complex her character possibility could’ve been and how they handled them all masterfully in each of the games!

    I feel so bad for Freya tbh. Living a life of sacrifices in order to maintain peace between Aesir and Vanir and getting nothing in return but distrust and hate from her own people, getting humiliated by her sweet husband, desperately wanting to protect her only son only to cause him so much more suffering. I just hope she'll be a powerful ally in the next game even though we all know Kratos isn't much into making friend with gods...

    • @rugbyfan0025
      @rugbyfan0025 5 лет назад +13

      A powerful ally? It seems pretty obvious to me that she's about to go side with Odin and do everything she possibly can to bring about the death of Kratos.....

    • @norlak7865
      @norlak7865 5 лет назад +11

      Honestly, she's suffered so much from Odin's hands that I hardly think she'll side with him ever again. I admit she's all anger, rage and hate since Kratos killed her only son, however she seems to understand him when he told Atreus "we must be better than that". It's as if she retained herself to tell him Something for the grief was still too intense. So Idk tbh mate, maybe you're right, we'll see that in the next adventure ;-P

      Yeah you must’ve not played through to the ending when you commented this, Freyas definitely gonna be trouble in the next installment.

    • @norlak7865
      @norlak7865 4 года назад +1

      Branden apexo oh yeah ? So I assume you’re working with the development team then to be so sure about that ? I’ve played the whole game, thank you, no need to be so smug in your comment. After the end credits, Mimir tells us she’s requesting her warrior spirit back. That doesn’t necessarily mean she will destroy us at all cost in the next game. She may want revenge but she also knows we saved her from her own son. So, at this point, nobody knows. Unless, as I before stated, you work for their development team.
      Or don’t you ? If not, then be smart, don’t assume things, use your brain. Thank you

    • @brandenapexo604
      @brandenapexo604 4 года назад +5

      Norlak 78 Everything about Freya’s character screamed emotional and overbearing, we understand where her intentions were but that doesn’t dismiss that fact that she acted very brash and selfishly in her attempts to protect Baldur at all cost, she was willing to let him choke her to death just to make him happy I doubt she has anything but animosity towards Kratos at this point, while I don’t believe she will be aiding any Aesir gods I do believe that Freya will be an enemy to overcome in the next installment hopefully it won’t result in her or Kratos’s death but she will be an obstacle in the near future.

  • @LowKeyJaded
    @LowKeyJaded 2 года назад +34

    Looking back at it, her attitude toward the big dying is a strong hint to her deeper character. She’d stop at nothing to prevent death. “I will NOT let him” when answering atreus.

    I love this scene because since Freya knows Kratos is a god that is why she seems to trust him, all the gods she knows would never help, but since Kratos is helping, and cause Atreus is so young, she knows that she can trust them…….. and then they end up killing her son 😂

    Freya at the end put a veil on Kratos and his son to hide them from the other gods but yet Baldur showed up to their house? How what if that was a tracking system put on them so they can tracked easily cuz how does everyone know Kratos was a god by looking at him

    • @jesseoliver1056

      VegaPreferred Baldur showed up at their house before they met Freya, so it's not a tracking system.

      Sorry mate, that's incorrect.... Frejya is just the older, phonetically correct way of spelling Freya. (Not to be confused with her brother Frejyr) Freya is the wife of Njord or Njordr - God of the Sea. Frigg's old Norse name is Frigga or Friggr - depending on your lineage. Frigg is Odin's (main) wife.
