Over the last 50 odd years due to the amount of North American media bought and shown by Australia media, some of the North American expressions and spelling are becoming part and parcel and in incorporated as some of the expressions used in Australia.

You can always tell a foreigner when they pronounce it Bris-bane and Mel-born and Can-beara rather than Brisben, Melben, and Canbra. You did well, Elisabeth.
I would give you two thumbs up if I could. I've never understood why the letter Z in Australia and the UK is pronounced "Zed." When I hear commercials for AN-Zed Bank, I feel like throwing a brick through the television. We go to the zoo to see zebras. They don't have any zedbras. Good video! :)
