i like the smokers they use to easily find a leak. i put an air gun and a rag in the tail pipe , compressor set on low psi and spray soapy water checking for exhaust leaks. guessing youd have every diagnostic tool under the sun like testing a radiator for exhaust gases etc.
This was a nice explanation…. I just tried this myself and have a query if possible. I get the piston to the top and the result was poor, I then rotated the engine and moved the piston down and back up. This time the leak down tester didn’t drop down at all….. which result do I use ?? Hope You can advise. Thanks
Suck, squeeze, bang, blow. Those are the 4 strokes to an engine. SQUEEZE is the compression stroke and both intake and exhaust valves are closed at TDC. BLOW is the exhaust stroke, the exhaust valve is open so no compression at TDC. Cheers.
Good detailed explanation mate 😉
Cheers mate, appreciate it 🙌🙌🙏🙏
