I first ate at Ruen Thai back in 1993, which was my first trip to Pattaya. Also stayed right near there at the Royal Twin. Pattaya has changed so much over the years. But surprisingly, some restaurants, hotels, and bars have stood the test of time.

I can vouch for Patricks Steakhouse, had a cracking steak in there, cooked to perfection, also Robin Hoods did a lovely Xmas lunch when I was there over Xmas, also Kiss Food by the Edge which is open 24 hrs, had a Thai green curry and rice there for £2.15, great value and good food. Oh and British Forces weapon is now called an L85A2.

The currency place just before Meeting Point (set back) gives slightly better rates than T.T.currency who do not give the same rate at all their booths which is weird.

Watching from the Korean bullet train again but this time going back to Seoul from Busan - its becoming a habbit this 😂😂 love the vlogs keeps everyone informed plus 45 to a £ seems good to me after my time in the UK and even where i am now in Korea 😮

Hi Trev good vid. I have been to the Classroom sports bar/Hotel SOI 13/4, many many times. Always had a great time, the lady's and Peter are great fun.
If you get hungry There is a brilliant Indian restaurant next door.( Tarka house).
Tarka House is fantastic
Still remember when Stan had the Classroom, that's when it was agogo bar, about 25 years ago,it was one of the best at the time.

@ 18:50 if you walk down that alley it takes you to Mike Shopping mall entrance , where u can buy t shirts and caps,suitcases & souvenirs and they take credit cards in the dept store shopping side , there's also a toilet upstairs. I find it a useful aircon way to get to Beach Road through this mall. Longhorn steakhouse was excellent - will try Patricks next time. i stayed at the Edge, they turn the air con off in the lobby off at night so it can get hot. Also you may have to wait with many other people for the lifts and they can get packed. You need to tap your card to go both up and down the lift which can be annoying- and you need to do this very quickly else the lift will go to where the first person who touches their card wants to go , even going past your floor as it gets Locked. The pool area seating is very limited but the views are nice. I had to pay for parking as its not always included. The apartment also was not serviced but they offered a cleaner for 400b per day. Overall felt pretty claustrophobic especially if you are used to other open planned places like the Areca nearby.

Swimming is great for your overall fitness. I'm often at beach road near Soi Clang. Getting a tan and Swimming in the salt water. It's cleansing and I feel radiant after. Enthusiastic and available down town!
My Thai buddy has got a speed boat near there. He's boat is slow compared to the smaller vessels near Rayong. Disco ducks down there Kyzar

Kiss food is very popular, but I'm baffled why? It's overpriced mediocre tripe. Also the Bentley's about 130k in the UK, so add the import taxes and say how much! Always noted The Lek hotel, but never enquired. I wonder how it compares to my personal favourite D-Appartments opposite the Soi Buakhao end of New Plaza? It's initially cheaper, but are you getting a balcony, large bathroom, ceiling fan, air-con, swimming pool etc?

I stayed in the edge got a really good price for 4 nights smallish apartment but really good nice bath/spa excellent views ..the rooftop pool is excellent it is by far the best place Ive stayed in Pattaya..on my last trip I wanted too re book but prices were way too much..if U can get a deal it's worth it

I stay at the MIKE Hotel my first trip to Pattaya which is right across the street from the TT Exchange…I remembered you saying they had the best rates which influenced my decision to stay near in the area lol..Great Rates and Great Location as well!

Some open late mate and most close about 10pm
You'd do just as well to change your money at the airport, and get it over and done with. Go down to the lower floor (Rail Link level) and use one of the exchanges down there. The most popular is "Super Rich" (orange booth), but the others soon caught on and match their rates now. Probably the best [local] rate in the country.
Better still, if you have a Thai "significant other", or someone you trust with a Thai bank account, get yourself a Wise account and do a bank transfer to them, and have them withdraw cash from an ATM. You'll get the best "mid market rate" for your exchange. If you load up a physical Wise card, you can use any ATM (ATM fees vary, but Krung Sri [yellow bank] is ฿220 for example) and still get the best exchange rates. The little booths in Pattaya/Jomtien [and any other tourist resort] give poor rates... even the "best" ones.

Sorry, but I have attempted to watch 2 or 3 of your vids, and you seem to "ramble on" in a vague manner quite often. If you want to show "What Has Changed" then show the old -> the new. You are just going for a walk with no direct reasoning!! The middle is about my limit on this one, I did say 'sorry' at the start, but nothing has moved on except you got some agents card and you like Indian (Goa) food.
