Dude, this is awesome. It's the best solution I've come across for creating textures without a plugin or using texture images. Exactly what I was looking for, kudos!
Thank you Krister! Stay tuned, more to come for Figma, and lots more for design in general. I only have about 4 hours a day to work on channel content, so I share when I can.
So glad that I found this video, it's the best hack I've come across. Would love to know how you created those illustrations you showed earlier in the videos. A tutorial would be so damn helpful. Thanks Buddy🙌🏼
Hi Mardav. Thanks for the kind words. The Figma Community file (see video description) has a FigBlog with some additional insight. I have a tutorial planned for illustrating in Figma. Lots of layering and masking was used.
Thank you for the comment. Glad this was helpful. There is also a great plugin made by Rogie in the Figma Community for Noise and Texture if you don't mind plugins.
Thanks for the great texture hack. I subscribed to your channel and liked your video. I did a gradient fill going from 20% black on top to 0% black on the bottom and applied the inner shadow effect like you, 0,0,0,500 Spread and it gives the same texture. So cool! Thanks.
Thanks for the sub and message! If you are looking for next level textures in Figma, @rogie’s Noise & Texture is great. www.figma.com/community/plugin/1138854718618193875/Noise-%26-Texture
I was in search of a glassmorpic design with some textures in it, to my surprise it is perfectly working, but I wonder if it can be developed by developers, if the same characretistics will work for dev as well
You are most welcome. Rogie’s plug-in in the community is also a great option. Check that out here www.figma.com/community/plugin/1138854718618193875/noise-texture
Yes, it is very quick. FFWD to 02:22 and 02:59 to see the grain texture appear. If you need more control and effects, there is a plugin called "Noise & Texture" here www.figma.com/community/plugin/1138854718618193875/Noise-%26-Texture

I'm not sure this one works anymore
That would be interesting. Download the community file. Should still work there can’t be RIP yet.
Confirmed that it sill works. The gradient fill UI has been updated, but this hack still works.
