@@ericnelson6725 When NBC started cancelling Game Shows like $ale of the Century, Super Password, Wheel of Fortune Daytime, Win, Lose or Draw Daytime & SCRABBLE, the network was never the same Even though they still had Classic Concentration which was still a hit
They are only resting in peace if they believed in our Lord Jesus Christ, and His Sacrifice on the Cross for us. If they didn't, they will be in hell for eternity.
Who posted this video? I'm curious, because this is Lisa Brown, the "Lisa" playing the game. My copy of this is soooooo old and not a very good copy. This is the first time I've been able to see it in the original version. My thanks to whomever it was that posted this. By the way, Bert, Marcia and Bill were all VERY kind.
Lisa Devereaux A lot has changed since October of '84, huh, Lisa? I didn't start watching "Super Password" until I was seven months old (December '84/January '85). LOL. Was this your only game show appearance?
Very happy for your win. I had seen the previous one where you played so well with Nathan Cook and had to chase down this one to see if you won the huge jackpot. Did all the single guys at the fire department drive by in the fire trucks after this aired? 😉
It was pretty exciting. I only won $100 on ToC. And, was happy to lose to Natalie. She was so nice. She was also a nursing student and paid off her school loans!
I wonder if during the tournament of champions Lisa Brown and fellow competitor Julie Segovia exchanged stories, Lisa with her firemen friends and Julie with her military-men friends she mentioned in her final game.
Wow! I got a response from somebody on tv! I'm still waiting for Jane Fonda to respond to a statement I made on a What's My Line post LOL. I thought it was so funny you and Julie made these "revelations" that got wildly similar reactions from Bert(RIP), so I posted that tongue-in-cheek comment.
I always liked all the Password versions, but preferred the original.I always wondered if the winners of any game show got to keep a lot of the money won, or if the IRS took a lot of it.
Marcia Wallace was always so good at game shows. She was always funny on The Bob Newhart Show.
Bert seemed like just a nice guy sad he died so young
Ang Olson If NBC hadn't been so fickle, this show would've ran an extra year or two.
It should have been George W Bush and Trump
@@drummingdanny84 They should have kept this and cancelled the daytime version Wheel Of Fortune after Pat Sajak left.

R.I.P. Marcia Wallace, Bill Cullen, Bert Convy and Rich Jeffries
I didn't know Rich was dead, too.

Hard to believe Bill Cullen hosted “Hot Potato” nine months before he appeared on “Super Password”.
Hot Potato is one of those short lived game shows that I wish would get another shot
And, he just took over the Joker's Wild replacing the late Jack Benny.
@@nextbarker2702 that's Jack 'Barry'.

+Lisa Devereaux I am glad I could help you relive what had to be a great moment in your life. It's always a pleasure to help in a small way. :)
congratulations! what did you do with your winnings Lisa?
really?

I remember this show well. One of my favorite game shows back in the day!! ❤❤
does anybody get goosebumps watching them win

That's about as close to seeing "Uncle Bill" walk without he camera cutting to another scene.

Lisa, this might be one of the best Cashword wins yet!
@@m.r.newton Thank you so much. I swear I was trying to say Skirmish and squeamish came out.

Yes, the IRS gets their cut. It just depends on your tax bracket how much they get.
Bill Cullen was such a cutie.
I fail to see how chocolate was too hard for her to solve.
How did the studio crew manage to change the puzzle board so fast without a commercial break?
Editing
Bill Cullen had just taken over the late John Barry on the joker's Wild after his sudden death that June.
Dunno why, but Goodson always liked to go back to the A-J series, at the end game.
I can't believe she got SQUEAMISH
Hyper activity.
