This is amazing and has a really great vibe with the different instrumentation going on, and a hint of mystery. Good job, I love it! You always make the best originals, and great art too! Hope you have a good one. (Sorry for saying so much, too much I want to say!)
There are so many connected threads between this work and the originals of years past. Familiar phrases, expressed in evolved and nuanced ways. This piece accomplishes something incredible, by *feeling* like other works in your history without being a carbon copy or just straight up ripping old elements into it. This art feels like the culmination of so many different efforts, and yet in some ways just one rung of an ever-climbing ladder. It was truly special to experience this much of your artistic journey. I'm so excited to see how far this can all go. Something I've always loved about your original work is a sense of dawning. It always feels like each piece is uncovering a new horizon to shoot for. Not many things inspire so much wonder these days. Thank you for sharing it with us.
Glad to hear you found and appreciated the threads, references and callbacks ^^ I'm also really glad to hear that you felt the song was unique in its own right! I put a lot more references into it originally, but it just started to feel like it wasn't its own thing, so I think I made the right choice in trimming a lot of them. It really warms my heart to hear that, thank you so much for that vivid description! Thanks for sticking around for so long, for taking the time to listen to the music, and for all the kind words you say ^//^
Always love an original song! Dunno if it was intentional, but I noticed several melodies that were familiar. The beginning started like Mirror Temple from Celeste, then around the 1 minute mark it sounds a bit like Ocarina of Time's Title theme. At 1:30, there's definitely a sequence of notes that reminds me of Donkey Kong Country, either aquatic ambiance or stickerbush symphony, but its hard to tell off the top of my head. Then at the end, around 6 mins, it sorta sounds like His Theme from undertale? I'm sure I may be overthinking this as the rest of the song from here feels less familiar to me, but I just wanted to share. Super cool piece, I really love how you put everything together. It feels welcoming and familiar even though its original! Always a fan of your stuff Qumu :)
I thought I was the only one who heard OoT in this! 4:52 also vaguely reminds me of Celeste, not sure why. Whether or not it was intentional, it's pretty cool how it snuck in there but still sounds like something original.

Interesting how most people reference such a wide range of music that this sounds like, Legend of Zelda, Deltarune, Celeste. I think it just sounds like Qumu ☺️

Glad you do, and that you think so! ;D I was planning on using a rough raspy deep organic sounding synth, but figured.... why not go for a bassy woodwind instrument instead of spending hours crafting a synth for it? It was exactly the tone I was looking for ^^
I can't believe this is a year old already! Just wondering, do you plan on releasing more albums in the future that are original like World 1 and World 2: Lost Levels?
Hey Qumu, I noticed your channel is growing amazingly fast, congrats! I'm curious, was there a specific thing you did or video you uploaded that skyrocketed your channel's popularity, or did it just happen gradually on its own?

Very well done 👍🏼
It truly means a lot to hear that! Thank you!!! ^^
Omg I wish I could have you make music for when I make my first game
Means a lot to me to hear that ^//^
If people gave the originals a chance, I think they would love it.
The "clickthrough rate" is pretty much on-par with a lot of my more popular covers/remixes, so I honestly think RUclips's just not recommending it to people, because the people who do get it recommended are clicking on it ^^;
very good bro :}
Holly shit those first notes gave me some hard Celeste vibes. I loved the song :)))
Thank you so much!! I'm glad to hear that! c:

Is no one going to talk about the originals in THIS original??
;D

Not familiar with their music, but fair enough I guess, I'm just glad you like it! ^o^
AAHHHH WE’VE BEEN WAITING SO LONG FOR ANOTHER ORIGINAL 😁😁😁😁🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳
Also new Qumu logo and outfits??? I love it!!
:0 new logo?
I hope it was worth the wait ^o^
Meant to release another one in the second half of last year, but had some problems migrating some data from one computer to another, so it's coming sometime this year instead ^^;
Old 2013 logo, and outfits based on old logo c;
Love the Bari sax around 4:30 awesome and adds so much to it
Glad you do, and that you think so! ;D
I was planning on using a rough raspy deep organic sounding synth, but figured.... why not go for a bassy woodwind instrument instead of spending hours crafting a synth for it? It was exactly the tone I was looking for ^^
So... I want... No (WE WANT) Friday Night Funkin' Remixes including A.G.O.T.I., Thunderstorm, My Battle, and Accelerant
Put them in the suggestion box c:
@@qumumusic Oh ok

It is a crime that I am not allowed to press the like button more than once
You're too kind! c;
I can't believe this is a year old already! Just wondering, do you plan on releasing more albums in the future that are original like World 1 and World 2: Lost Levels?
Sounds like a Celeste b-side theme and I love it.
Thank you so much!! ^^
4:31 to 5:40 is the best thing I’ve heard in music ever
You're absolutely too kind ^//^
This is screaming "a videogame cave music" to me
A music studio is sort of like a cave tough :o
Hey Qumu, I noticed your channel is growing amazingly fast, congrats! I'm curious, was there a specific thing you did or video you uploaded that skyrocketed your channel's popularity, or did it just happen gradually on its own?
Kinda reminds me of metroid but not spooki
Makes me happy to hear that! ^^
