I'll probably end up taking with my supervisor soon, but I don't know how I feel about my internship. I feel stressed and anxious. Anxious because I had to go through very short, fast paced trainings for certain tasks, and suddenly I am on my own. Plus, I had to miss a couple of days because of work + planned vacation.I don't learn like that, in fact it takes me more time to learn things so that I can do it on my own with confidence. Then, I am feeling stressed because I am taking on projects that I thought I would work with another intern(s), but the other interns are either not around or in a different program. Plus I work, and I am taking a class that gives me credit for the internship. I honestly just want to be down but my plan is to finish in 2 months.
Started mine this week. 40 hours or so, usually close to 50 hours. I don't necessarily hate the internship but I have to drive at 5AM for an hour plus to get to work. Then they kinda leave me to teach myself it's ehh

I could totally relate to you! My internship program placed me in a nonprofit coworking office even though I’m a CIS major. I hate it and pretty sure the supervisor hates me as well!
Pointless if your supervisor has no clue to what me and his boss agreed upon, then the blame is on his boss for not doing a good job communicating what my job/project was supposed to be, so far the only thing I've learned is that their communication is bad and are supposed to be a museum whose one of the primary missions is to communicate, shameful.

Hi, I came across your channel after googling a solution for my problem. I’m having an internship for almost 4 months and I’ve already worked for a month now. I don’t feel comfortable and actually quite unhappy now. Whenever I speak with colleagues they seem to be less friendly to me than when they speak with other people (and interns!) and they all are really bad in explaining the tasks to me. I have 3 tasks to do now and I feel really left alone. I have already asked a lot of questions and my colleagues seem annoyed and don’t explain much. Do you have any tips what I can do?
Also what I forgot to add is that my boss is away for the next 2 weeks so I can’t talk to her. Plus, she is always super busy and away at meetings a lot.
Hey, I feel your pain! I have a boss that gives us project after project but doesn't give us any direction. When I go in and ask for help, she gives vague instructions because even she doesn't know what the certain assignment entails. Although this gives me the liberty of finding a solution, it really stinks because I have to learn new programs and new research methods. It would be nice to at least have her go through each assignment and state what the outcome needs to be. Also, her attitude is off as well. She seems to have already given up on the projects and is quite cynical about finding a solution to some of the issues because even she is overwhelmed with her job.
But anyways, I am hanging in there until I get the required hours for my internship and then dipping. I am going to push these next 2 weeks and ask for help when I can. Although sometimes I don't even want to ask for help because she is either in meetings or will look at you as if your are stupid. :( it sucks
I would recommend to set a formal meeting with your supervisor and come with a list of concerns but remember to keep it positive and solution oriented!
I joined a marketing and sales internship and they just want us to sell their products to our friends through some lame posters that's the reason I want to quit the internships I am not learning anything that's worth it. I am few days into the training, it's not a paid internship and i feel I will make bad relationships with people I know if I try to sell to them
Hii i dont know if anyone gonna read this comment Or not but i am in middle of my 2 month internship and it's been soo depressing for me. Every day i woke up crying not to go for the damn internship. People over there don't know how to treat their interns, they think we are the servants for them and no matter how much hard work I try to put in my project they don't give a fuck and if anyone made any mistake they blame that on over the interns and it's affecting my mental health. I really want to give them the taste of their own medicine but i don't know if that's going to solve any of the issue.

At my 6 months of internship I got gpa 2.1 I literally drop and I been doing all the work that they give me while the other 2 interns like me just sit and play phone I don't feel appreciated and unfair , because all of them were talking at another language and laugh while I don't understand the both person is 2 faces and negative it drain my energy
What do you do when you spent 7 years and $220,000 getting an education with the expectation of a 6 figure or near 6 figure salary but the only offers you get are in the high $30k range?
Also, What if your boss tells you they can no longer keep you in the company if they pay you minimum wage? Even though you know they can afford to but they just don't want to pay them
I have a question: What happens if you're in an internship where they do not pay you? And you know that they should pay you atleast the minimum wage as you're a graduate (in London). Do you say something to your boss?

This has got to be the worst advice I have ever heard. The advice came down to find someone to complain to. First, your internship is only 3 months long, so if you don't like it, just do it and write what you want on your resume about it to make it sound good - and never go back. If you're not getting work, or work you wish to do, don't complain. Turn to someone where you wish to learn something and ask if they need help. If not, ask someone else if they need help. Someone will say yes. If you want to work at the company, make yourself useful. That's how you get recommendations. Remember, no one really cares what you want. They only care how you can help them.

2 weeks into my internship the only HR employee at the company walked out... the next 2.5 months were a DISASTER
I didn’t even have an internship coordinator, it was very isolating and there has no plan.

There might be reasons for the companies that are not shared! Try to stay as positive as possible so you can keep the connections for your future!
