It seemed like Ye was trying too hard with the chanting sample and multiple features. Felt like he threw a bunch of arrows at the board and missed the bullseye. Album was still overall pretty fire tho

I'm not convinced that Burn is the best song on the album. It's nothing new or even that interesting and I think the reason that it's so popular is because it's one of the better lyrical performances in the context of mostly poor lyrical performances. That, and it sounds like old Kanye. Honestly, there should be a second verse. If we're being picky, and that's what we're doing here (critiquing), the album could have benefited from more Kanye verses (good ones, that is). Put Burn on an album with the same sound (TCD, LG, Graduation) and its a good song, but not a standout. Put Carnival on an album that sounds similar (Yeezus, TLOP) and it's a standout. Carnival is unique, high energy, great production, great features, and it also gave the world another peak at this new iteration of Playboi Carti. I vote for Carnival as the best song on the album. King beats Burn first round.
