Hey everyone! Today, we're taking a trip to the Permian Basin Petroleum Museum in Midland, Texas. This museum is a treasure trove of information, showcasing artifacts and exhibits that tell the story of the oil and gas industry in our area.
So let's get started! First up, we have a unique exhibit featuring an old-fashioned oil pump. This pump was used to extract oil from the ground back in the day. Now, it makes for a great photo opportunity here at the museum.
Next on our list is this massive 5 tonne model of a derrick. Can you believe that? It's simply incredible to see how much these machines weigh!
But there's so much more to see here at the museum! We have a fantastic miniature model of an oil field, complete with pumps and even miniature trucks. It's like stepping into a miniature world that brings the industry to life.
Of course, no museum would be complete without some old-fashioned equipment. We have plenty of vintage pumps and machinery on display, giving us all an insight into how things were done back in the day. It's fascinating to see how far technology has come!
And as you wander through the museum, you'll encounter several unique exhibits, like this one showcasing oil from different fields around Texas. It's amazing to see how different each field's oil looks and learn about what makes this industry so complex and interesting.
