Good stuff big B appreciate your honest opinions always. About same speeds I was getting with my animal. Did about the same out of the box speed as my geico twin. The 100+ Rtr claim does require some serious work and tuning but if anyone can do it it’s definitely you. Stock zondas and geicos have also done over 100 with the right props and tune. Twins are fast! Also Teflon liners not recommended for 48k rpm, I had to take mine out after I smoked them. Boat gang!👍🏼
The centering is nature of the beast with pull/pull, you can get it close but that tiny slop in cables is hard to get all of it out. I run a spring or zip tie from cable to cable at the servo arm to help keep tension on them.
Not so you just have to adjust correctly or run a solid link arm off servo to rudder . Ask me how I know . I used to race RC boats and all of mine would run dead nuts straight with no input
@@corsomike1 yea, and I am talking about pull/pull which this has. If you swapped it to a solid link then the entire conversation about taking up the slack in the cables would not be happening lol.
@@Buellerwtfman my good sir, your comment is painfully obvious of course you would not use both my points being that if you adjusted the cable pull - pull system it would work as designed and not have slop in the steering. Been there done that like 25 years ago ...
Love that boat. It’s a toss up. Spend the money on an Animal Cat or settle for a Blackjack 42, not saying the BJ 42 isn’t a sweet boat. Hey what the wife doesn’t know… 🤣
The rudder isn’t finding center because low profile servos don’t have anywhere near the torque, also usually pricier. I had to convert mine to a full size servo laying down. That may solve your steering issues. Can’t wait to see what you do with it👍🏼
I bought my cf pursuit and had to go through the whole boat before it even touched the water. Spend a few minutes before or spend a lot later in my opinion. As far as the servo i got a bad servo that did the same as yours is. I bought two. One was just bad. It happens. And they were 35mg servos.bg4l
i built my own, personally dont mess with oxidean nor his name branded stuff. same boat but bought from the molder of oxis hulls and 5x cheaper Hull - DyMotorshop “New Zonda” carbon/kevlar double layer. Electronics - escs , 2x ZTW 200 motors , 2x SSS 4092 2140kv top speed on 2x 6s 118 mph
Glad you make these videos, mine had water in it too, wondering how to fix it... my dominator also was like yours no water inside, love both boats though still making payments lol but it's all good.
found the leak super simple fix, remove the stinger base and post base, lay down some sealant then reassemble. Mine was only leaking around the post area but decided to seal up everything while I hade it apart...
Hi, please have a question, having a catamaran 80cm long, what position and measurements should I use to secure the single engine motor and batteries? Thank you.
I recently got the cf pursuit Without the self righting and all I can say is definitely get it. I have flipped it 2xs but that was jumping boat wakes. It is stable, and fast. Well built. But like the animal you have to go through it. Mine came with a 180 seaking and a sss 1650kv 4082 v2 motor. It's awesome.
Nice vid..BUT.....Bill says.."Our Animal Twin Cat RTR proved it could go 109 mph (175 kph) BONE STOCK!! That makes it the FASTEST RTR R/C boat in the world!" Was he driving down the highway at the time?
Stock Electronics, with a prop change and the right tune. 109mph is fast, and at that speed, all the weather conditions need to be just right, im easing my way Into this boat, taking my time. there's no need to rush anything
That's exactly why people respond to all these statements. Fastest rtr, quality second to none, best in industry, can't build one for that money etc, i've read them.. I know for a fact you can buy another factory build boat (but not full rtr/minus esc's, props, radio, which most people want to choose themselves anyway) that will outrun this boat.
@@peteroosterhoff8850I paid $2500 for my Keith Bradley built Promarine MTR that runs 100+ with the right weather and water conditions. No radio. No lipos. Balanced props.
Its Fascinating how far people dig to say something Ridiculous. Of Course it doesn't come with 100mph capble props in the box. No rc boat does. Not everyone can drive or Wants to drive a 100mph boat. B will Simply do a prop change with some of our props he Already has and be Right in the 100MPH game.
I may have accidentally mentioned 100mph out the box, with box stock props in my initial review. What I should have said was that the Electronics are 100+ capable with the right prop!
Hey Bill, I think your boats are badass and like you said not everyone wants to go 100, truth is I don't plan on it and have been happy with it stock and with good batteries it's fast enough, very powerful boat gets up to speed so fast.
Nice first run. If anyone can get it over 100 mph u can. Congrats and good luck.

Sub 80mph out the box is incredible! The blue high rake props will have it screaming!

Found the issue last night after I spoke to you, it was my push pull cabe, had one side to tight. She's ready to go now. Come on!
Thats odd. I wonder why the SAME servo powers the Rampage at over 114?
@@IRONCLADRC glad to hear it! BG4L

Good man......Oxiqueen is a fake and a scam..all TFL boats that he re brands nothing more!!!
It was whistling because it was happy LOL

Great video! My Zonda has adjustable battery trays. Are the Animal Cat’s trays adjustable?
Stationary, with 2 velcro straps, super wide, plenty forward, and aft adjustability.....
@@IRONCLADRC mine are on a sliding tray.
O hell, and I am trying to justify a new TFL pursuit! From OSE.

Always like the looks of the yellow skull version, guess it's the rock and roll in me lol
Hey Big B What do you recommend when ordering a Twin Cat the 1650kv Motor or 2200kv? regards Pete UK
2200kv if youre trying to do 100+ easily
I agree, 2200kv should get you their! Lighter overall 6s setup = fast boat
Just order from TFL it's the same thing where do you think Bill gets them from he surely don't make them that's a fact!!!!
That is a lot of $$$ for sub 80 out of the box inmo
Only my first run, first large twin, there's a learning curve like anything else. Basically a shake down run..
Man i been waiting for B to get a zonda
I love that ball
Ball bearing outdrives... no liners.. stainless 46 props... I have rhe 1650kv
What batteries are you running?
Love it
Do you know the spped difference between the 2200kv and 1650kv all stock?
About the same, the 1650 allows a larger prop to be run and in my opinion it would be slightly heavier with 4x 4s lipos
@@IRONCLADRC ok, thanks. I bought the 1650kv boat. I will be running it in about two weeks.
Very cool. Hey Ironclad RC Have you ever seen a shark in that water ???
Plenty alligators, I think a guy caught a big bull shark off the dock a few years back, 100plus pound bull in brackish water
