RWANDA - Fishermen work hard on Lake Kivu. Kibuye City.

Night fishing.
Fishing is done in teams of 3 boats.
There are 3 fishermen on each boat.
Every night they fish 3 times, and they only go out fishing on nights without a full moon.
There is also the Captain, in this fishing he is called RUKUNDO, who organizes the fishing.
They decide the fishing position and join the boats with long poles.
Then they lower the nets from the two side boats.
Then Rukundo turns on 4 lights that emit an intense white light.
While waiting, dinner is eaten: beans and Ugali (white polenta) for everyone . . . to eat with your hands.
The 4 lights attract the fish under the middle boat.
After two hours the Captain tells the fishermen to pull up the nets.
6 fishermen pull up the nets by hand through the 6 pulleys.
How many fish there will be in the nets is always a surprise!
This first catch was poor, perhaps it will go better with the next 2.

Pesca notturna.
La pesca si svolge in squadre di 3 barche.
Su ogni barca ci sono 3 pescatori.
Ogni notte fanno 3 pescate, ed escono a pescare solo nelle notti senza luna piena.
C'è anche il Capitano, in questa pesca si chiama RUKUNDO, che organizza la pesca.
Decidono la posizione di pesca ed uniscono le barche con dei lunghi pali.
Quindi calano le reti dalle due barche laterali.
Poi Rukundo accende 4 fari che emettono una intensa luce bianca.
Nell'attesa si mangia la cena: fagioli e Ugali (polenta bianca) per tutti . . . da mangiare con le mani.
Le 4 luci attirano i pesci sotto alla barca di mezzo.
Dopo due ore il Capitano dice ai pescatori di tirare su le reti.
6 pescatori tirano su le reti a braccia attraverso le 6 carrucole.
Quanto pesce ci sarà nelle reti è sempre una sorpresa!
Questa prima pescata è stata scarsa, forse andrà meglio con le prossime 2.
