Man I really enjoy watching your tying videos. You’re very creative and the flys look great.

Have you ever tries Tearmender glue for this? it stays flexible vs the hard super glue. Very nice action in the water.

How do you arrange the hook? It looked like it was down when you started but finished point up?

haha i also at first avoided leeches ( i kinda dislike any fly thats simple as the work i put into tying inspires my confidence) to only fish intruders in such, then one day i discovered a pretty complex leech a try and caught so many fish! then when the dirty hoh came out it was over as i could combine the two into one ultimate fly!

How durable are these patterns? I can’t see that glue actually being enough long term

Super durable, I fished one for a whole winter season and it looked new the whole time.

I have a few dozen of these that I got from Jeff Layton a few years back and I haven't had one fall apart on me. Some have brought several fish to hand and are no worse for wear.
