For all these stops: for beginners it's very important to bend your knees and bring your center of gravity down. Beginners usually have a tendency to stand up straight, even/especially when braking. Furthermore: there's also the powerslide/powerstop. Nice flashy cool way to stop, but it'll eat up your wheels :)
Idk about 60km But at 33km I still able to stop with T stop. But yeah it’s harder to maintain balance with T stop the faster you go so in the 35km speed It’s a little bit scary. Also like going uphill is one way.
I mean you would probably hit 60km on hills. So try turning uphill. But then again it’s scary the faster you are, I think just practice with turning / T stop Or soul slide until you can stop at higher and higher speeds. The thing is the faster you go the faster you lose speed with those methods. Like T stop is bad at slowing when you are at low speed say less then 15 km. And the Better stops need to be on moderate speed. For instance powerslide I think you would go into space trying that on 60km 😂
@@jessiecassio8349 Oh on straight road its probably less of an issue just stop pushing and you will lose speed fast, then t stop. probably he can use t-stop right away. one method that is used is soul slide, but for me iam not good enough so it scary to try at high speed.
@@jessiecassio8349 I just did 60km yesterday on a flat trail and needed to stop had no problem because I have a brake the way I do it is to brake and will you are braking turn to the right keep turning tell you make a u trun. All trail skates speed skates should come with a brake no reason they shouldn't companies just want to sell you more wheels
😂 this video is so hard to learn and understand for beginners. I like your other videos whereby you explain more in details. I think even the easiest grass stop would have made a lot of beginners fall to the ground because they may go onto the grass with their foot side by side.
I don't understand why all speed skates and trail skates don't come with a brake any of those methods you showed if I would have done them yesterday when I needed to stop will going 60km would have got me in trouble had no grass too roll on t stop wouldn't have gotten me stop fast enough to avoid a car that went through a stop sign. And there's no way I would try those other ways going that fast I was able to stop fast enough because I have a brake . I brake and turn to the right at the same time I did a u turn. I think companies just want to sell you more wheels Profet over safety
Speed skates are also not meant to be used on traffic streets even when he does. Still he wouldn't be able to use a break since a break would be in his way on some of his Strides like the tiny crossovers.
There’s always the “road rash” - a fan favourite!
aahhh hell no!! XD

I started inline skating today after 6 years of short track speed skating. And now I understand how useful this video is. Thank you)
Awesome! Much appreciated. :-)
Waw. Are you the olympic medalist? I think I saw you somewhere on other video about double push. And leaŕn from that vid. Subbed.
Is the soul slide/magic slide/parallel slide a good way to stop on speed skates?
No. You are missing the ankle support. I would say Faky powerslide is the only thing you can more safety do, but even there im not sure.
find grass and stop. why do i feel this like a dream
