I just bought this Lenovo 5i gen 9, but I'm having some doubts about the rgb lighting for example if I choose a light color to display on the keyboard, some leds in the down part display a different color, not the one I select, it shows a color a little bit green, this only happened with light colors of green, blue and pink. For example if I select solid green, yellow, blue or red theres is no problem. Also I noticed that the last row of keys before the trackpad feels a little bit more hotter for example between the copilot and
Yeah I also have a 5i gen 9. The arrow and copilot keys get a little hotter but it's really not a problem. Just because a lot of stuff is probably on that area
1:38 where is the thunderbolt? Did you make it up or did you assume it, because this laptop or any of the legion series except the 7 series don't have thunderbolt since 2021. I am sure this is an ad read but you need to make sure your information is up to date
Go for the i7-14700HX. Pro tip: if ur buying an i7, go 14700HX. If ur buying an i9, go for 13900HX. i9 13th gen to 14th gen almost has no difference while i7 13th gen to 14th gen has a slight bump for more power.
I have a laptop, not exactly a gaming laptop, but it has a 3050 GPU. I want to play some games on it, but I'm still kinda afraid to do it for an extended period. I don't wanna ruin the battery in the long run. Anyone here has any suggestions, insights or anything to assure me that I'm just overthinking it?
You are overthinking it. I'm using my 2020 laptop for gaming almost everyday and sometimes for 4-5 hours straight. The battery is still good enough that it runs for 2-3 hours.
A 3050 is a gaming gpu just the same as a 4090 is. Having it plugged in gives it the power needed and they're designed to be used a lot. Don't worry about it.
I am waiting for OEMs to make these laptops with mini led back lights. I have been spoiled with my M1 Pro 16 inch. Then I will jump ship 1600nits is incredible vs 500nits
Sadly, that is the way it is now, especially with Lenovo. Sponsor so creators do not deep-dive as they would with a MacBook. This is about the 20th sponsored Lenovo I have seen published in the last two weeks. Only a few non-sponsored reviews these days. I would say this is more of an overview for people looking to maybe buy and want to know the nitty-gritty of the specs, done in a fun way.
I have one, and I can say the following: Pros: *The quality of the materials is good, the laptops feels solid *The performance is very good *The screen with its 240 Hz frame rate looks great and smoth. * Its cooling system works fine, of course it is noisy when I play a demaning game but it is normal. Cons: *My computer has a i9 RX4060 and the battery duration is not good, even if I use the low performance mode it is not lasting more than 2 and a half hours with doing basic stuff like using chrome and microsoft office *The power of the speakers is really low, not what I expected for a 2,000 buck laptop I am really disappointed in this area
Sooooooo...... i recently bought a lenovo i5 with 12500h i think it was and tbh...... i can only run games on like 40-42 fps soooo yeah...... i payed 800 for it too so did i pay to much for a trash laptop?
500-1000 is a budget laptop and you've got what your money's worth. The 12500h only has an RTX 3050 Ti - which is an entry-level gpu for an entry-level price. The Lenovo of this video gives you the latest RTX 4070 with the 14650h cpu, making it 2-3 times as fast. It's priced double, but you'll really need to spend more if you want a new gaming laptop and run beyond 40fps. Think 1000-1500 for intermediate level laptop and 1500+ for high-end.
@@Litanic ok thanks for the check up! I tlly cant play any shooter games, that ive learned now because i played them or tried it at least 😅 Buti can play games like hearts of iron 4 or ck4 so like these games that dont rlly need fps but rather performance and to be honest my gpu in these games is at about 70% and everything else lower and these kind of game run way faster now than on my other laptop i had before, it was a U one so low performance. Im very happy that i can at least play these games on my laptop on such a high speed. I will buy me a gaming PC next just to get a little big more performance out of the price but im very anxious about how to handle it. How to build it and how I should clean it etc.
I purchased a zephyrus g16 which has a tank build,, solid and a little heavy, but feels amazing. The legion 5i was another option at a similar price and i think might have been a littke better than what i got, but at any rate a 1440p screen on a laptop is kind of useless, it is way too small to matter. I already have a 1440p monitor which i use with the laptop as a secondary screen and it works seemless. I was never a fan of lenovo, my ex girlfriend has a lenobo table which broke in a few months :) so i didnt realy consider lenovo for that reason. While asus i used their products for years and they are fiable. Thanks for the review though
When making these commercials for gaming laptops you really need to tell people what Wattage the GPU can access because a gimped, low wattage 4070 is no faster than a 4060 supplied with a full power profile..will be £300-400 cheaper and still comes with 8GB of VRAM. A 4070 needs at least 100w otherwise it's a waste of money. And this configuration he's testing costs over £2K...so not worth it for a 4070 equipped laptop.
I always prefer using a pc I built compared to "gaming laptops". Not only cheaper but better performance and most of the time if you want the full power the laptop needs to be plugged in. So much for portability. I'll only get a cheaper laptop if for work
My lenovo legion 5 died after a year and a half. I used to be a big lenovo fan but not now. Unacceptable. Surfed the net and I find I am not alone. I don't trust them anymore. Buyer beware.
DONT BUY FROM LEGION, i bought the 14inch legion with the 4070 and they sent me the wrong configuration without the 4070 it only had the intergrated graphics, and it took them 6 weeks to give me the refund, ,their customer service is awful, Id stay away just from this expierence alone.

Although it's a sponsored video, I like Lenovo and all the stuff they make
It's an ad! Don't call it a review man.
You can tell the difference between a review & an advertisement sponsored by the manufacturer. But still good stuff from mister spurt.
Is the legion pro 5i really loud after some time?
I like watching videos about expensive things i can't afford 🙃
L@dmmpg
Its only £1.5k not too bad
What actually the different between pro model and this one?

It doesn't have TBT4
I have the 5i 2024 can confirm it does not have
Would be fun with a video collab with mrwhostheboss and you! It would be a collision for sure but in a nice way!
is the kingston impact 2x16gb 5600mhz fit to this laptop? cuz i'm planning to buy and replace the single 16gb on it. thank you
It is soldered i believed
One ram slot left though. The other one is soldered sadly.
16 inches of fun is crazy
what do you actually do with al the tech that you get to keep?
where did you get your wallpapers? they look so awsome!
Default by lenovo.
Hey uncle spurt, what's up?
I'm confused with which laptop to buy in these Loq 14th gen i7-14700hx vs legion pro 5i i7-14650 Hx vs predator helios neo i7-14700 hx ?

Get the Pro model. It's roughly the same price.
Legion is really powerful, and pricy. Still love Lenovo stuff though.
if you think this is pricey then try other brands with the same specs
You know it's a sponsored tech spurt video when it's a laptop. I'll stay for the banter about beer and your mom 😊
Your mums so fat she rolls out both sides of the bed every morning.

No Ryzen, unfortunately 😔
