Most people watching your reels are watching hundreds or thousands of reels, they know in the first few seconds whether they want to work with you. So keep it short, keep the music non-polarizing (like Danny said,) and make every shot count.

Hey Danny, thanks for the honesty. I really enjoyed this video, as I am working on my own reel. The best tip I think is the last one - if you dont have enough good shots then its better to focus on improving and learning rather than creating reel which tries to only sell you without proper skillset and experience. That is very crucial and important to understand - there are seldom shortcuts no matter how much we would all love to be out there just doing what we love. There is a journey to take and the better one understands that the more rewarding it will be for him and the clients in the future.

If you don't have enough strong shots to make a reel then you are not ready to make a reel. So true. I find myself in this position. But that's part of the journey of becoming great at what you do. It takes commitment.
