Sad cuz we can't recreate the oscars for music , most of these albums overlooked cuz they don't have major label push by grammys while oscars nominate low budget movies bcos their good
Dude, the list is really good and your observations are interesting as well! And I don’t want to sound rude or anything but can I give some constructive suggestion? When doing lists you should name every album or song you are talking about instead of just showing covers on the screen. And when naming the subject, give it a pause before and after for people to hear it. This is important for two reasons: 1- a lot of people won’t watch videos, but will hear them all from beggining to end and will be super interested in it (I heard this video doing the dishes and was interested in it but I had to stop to look at the screen everytime I was not aware of what record you were talking about. 2- a lot of blind people are consuming RUclips. I have a blind friend that I send a lot of videos for but he would be kinda lost if I sent him this one. Anyway please don’t take this the wrong way, the only reason why I stopped doing dishes to write all of this is because I thought the video is interesting and decided to give you a suggestion to make future videos a little more inclusive for people who are only listening. Best of luck with the channel, man!
all of those are great records, I haven't listened to Brave faces everyone, charmed (3 hours is too long for me, but ik I should give it a try), welcome to the garden, the beyonce one, that! feels good! (imma listen to it before year ends 100%) and Raw data feel. I loved the fact that having the magnificent "De Todas las Flores" you chose her 2020 LP, a really underrated album that everybody who enjoyed the first one mentioned should listen to. I also got surprised that you didn't include "SINNER GET READY", I assumed it would come in after seeing your picks. my top 10 are in order: jpegmafia - OFFLINE! Big Thief - Dragon... Natalia Lafourcade - De Todas las Flores Black Country, new Road - (both of their records, I love them) Dillom - Por cesárea Tyler, The Creator - CMIYGL Sprain - The Lamb as Effigy Weyes Blood - And In the darkness.. Yukika - Soul Lady and rn I'm really enjoying "The new sound" and could easily enter to my top 10, so I put it. greetings from Argentina, new sub here :))
I’m easy. I would say you can include them and I would if there was one for the 2020s but nothing has really stuck with me like that. Challengers soundtrack however will most likely be on my year end list!
@@NotRealMusicRyan Oh I did and picked out the albums I was interested in. I usually add them to my Spotify catchup playlist all at once so I can check them out with time and pleasure later rather than loading up your video 50 times for each album and headbang my head trying to figure out which record I need to listen to next as there are no timestamps, the list isn't ordered, no links to the albums themselves and there isn't even an end-of-video screen that lists all the releases so I don't have to bring out my notebook and jot down each and every record I'm interested in.
You need to make it more clear and put numbers on the albums of the ranking. Evn your last video was very confusing. It misses the whole point of list, as a viewer you dont know where you are at.
A lot of great rock albums this decade. Black Country, New Road. Black Midi, Jack White, Geordie Greep, Vampire Weekend, Sprain, St, Vincent, The Smile etc.

Thank you for the advice! I definitely understand what you’re saying and will make sure I take this on board for future videos!

and rn I'm really enjoying "The new sound" and could easily enter to my top 10, so I put it.
greetings from Argentina, new sub here :))
I'm sure that would be limited to your couple of favorite genres like pop, hip-hop, soft rock but I'll enjoy watching it
Hey don’t hate we’ve got soul, country and electronic in here too!
Did you hear that For Those I Love record? That’s coming out as my favourite of the decade so far
I did! Very very good album. Believe it’s technically a 2019 album though
thank you, sexy bean ryan 🤪
What about The New Sound?
I like it a lot! Not best of the decade for me
No Blue Rev 😮
I still love it! Was on my 2022 year end list
Do you think soundtracks should be considered separate from these kinds of lists or not?
I’m easy. I would say you can include them and I would if there was one for the 2020s but nothing has really stuck with me like that. Challengers soundtrack however will most likely be on my year end list!
@@NotRealMusicRyan Oh wow, that's a really surprising but cool pick! I still need to watch Challengers.
Trent and Atticus don’t miss!
yes
@GameJunkyard11 what would your soundtrack list be?
folklore/ evermore ??
I like Folklore but not enough to be top 50
can anyone share the list in the comments?
Watch the damn video!

Listen to “boy” by 2hollis. It’s unlike any album I’ve ever heard and is easily the best album I’ve heard this year

There’s no number for these lists… I say at the start I’m not putting them in a numerical order until the decade is over
I honestly think Mercurial World is better than Imaginal Disk, there's a few duds on the new album
No Mr Morale??
It’s a very good album and maybe one day it’ll rise to this list but for now it’s not quite there for me
Well, if you and Pitchfork are right that this decade's music Creme de la Crop are bunch of pop albums we are in trouble...
A lot of great rock albums this decade. Black Country, New Road. Black Midi, Jack White, Geordie Greep, Vampire Weekend, Sprain, St, Vincent, The Smile etc.
