For the last one 717484, everyone is thrown off by the word "initial": when entering a microburst, an increasing headwind is initialy experienced. (which the ATPL Q explanation confirms). Having banged my head on all the questions of the bank, there are many cases where it's not our knowledge/understanding that's challenged, but rather our examinator mind reading skills.
I hope you'll do "Principles of flight" before december 😂

Question 2 (712233). CAT.OP.MPA.185 has been replaced by CAT.OP.MPA.182 'Fuel/energy scheme - aerodrome selection policy' since October 2022. Taking the new rules into account when under the 'Basic' fuel scheme, your planning minima for the destination alternate are DH+400 and RVR+1500 (since the mentioned ILS is a type A approach). Resulting in ceiling not lower than 810ft and visibility not less than 2700m. Agreed, the table provided mentions the old rules, and the question has been successfully solved as such. However a note regarding the new EASA rules could be a good addition.
Last question is wiered as you can even see from your graph initially the head wind and speed would incrrase (What made pilots bfr making that mistake and not having enough energy to escape the downdraft/windshear)
What I still struggle with is the fact some "things" are not used anymore, like some planning minima stuffs. I always forgot what exactly is out of date. Do someone has a clue to help me with this ?
