I went to Shoreham in 1961 on a holiday paid for by the council, I lived in Vauxhall and was 7 years old..there were loads of kids from London at Victoria station going to shoreham for 2 weeks for a holiday..staying with different families..most of us had never seen the sea...I know and remember it was the best 2 weeks of my life..the people we stayed with were lovely..me and my brother did not want to go back to London...

Lovely Shoreham. Great to see how it was then. So much nicer than Brighton.
Frankie Vaughan came to Shoreham Boys Athletic Club in the 1950's (1957 or 8?) not the 1960's. I was there as a member of the club.
