This reminds me a lot of Who Frames Roger Rabbit and I actually kinda like this style of film 2d characters mixed with real life people now that’s truly magical!
More like the 2000 Rocky and Bullwinkle Movie.
Did you know this movie was known to be in development hell since 2009, where at first was announced to cash-in on the suceess of the 2007 Alvin and the Chipmunks movie (which is why Yogi Bear and The Smurfs were the only movies of the early-2010's that did so). Then in 2015, it became an animated feature (which was a good idea for this movie being a great comeback for Tom and Jerry in the public eye) and now when the Warner Animation Group was finally involved in this movie, this went back as a hybrid of live-action and CGI animation where celebrities are sprinkled in as part of the cast (5 are the credited stars of the movie) with the latter doing something of having Tom and Jerry be cel-shaded in CGI over photorealistic CGI like Yogi Bear.
We went from Original classic Tom & Jerry to Tom & Jerry live action Movie 🍿 nice 👍🏻

This was the 1st movie I ever saw in theaters of 2021, I liked it, and I even have it on DVD
this kind of reminds of the Adventures of Rocky & Bullwinkle movie from the 2000's might have the same chessey jokes but the characters look stylish to the original 2D Animated Cartoons of Tom & Jerry

If you heard of the Thomas And Friends 2021 reboot let's just say:Mattel has fucked up Thomas And Friends.
With the live action 2d animation Thomas the tank engine which looks like those everyday Baby Toy versions of Thomas.

I really am nervous about this I didn't grow up with the old school Tom and Jerry shorts but I watched reruns all the time on cartoon Network after school and I really did not want this movie to be a thing because I knew it would end up like the one they made in the '90s and probably ruin it

Tom & Jerry, without Hannah & Barbera production/Fred Quimby's collaboration, the brilliant slapstick humor, and the politically incorrect raunchiness of the 40s and 50s is absolute worthless crap. Every single attempt to repeat or even get close to that classical Golden Glory made after 1960 has failed miserably. This guaranteed BOMB won't be an exception. This is Holywood's creative bankruptcy and business idiocy at its maximum. SOME THINGS ARE BETTER LEFT UNTOUCHED.
