Thanks for the content, really good insight into what the Japanese market is like. One thing I'd like you to really highlight in your Q&A is your favourite (like a top 10) of Japanese exclusive cards, which weren't printed in English, that you like to look out for.
Loving the content. My Q for QA is how you form collector relationships and get on the "scene"? Also cant wait for more content and those pack openings. Thanks for the insight on how you manage the business of pokemon trading.
im going to japan early next year. where abouts is the best location for cards and what kind of pokemon do you tend to buy for resale. What kind of singles do you usually look for and do you sell them raw or are most for grading?
i missed the what not stream . but i am going back to japan in march . my question was that i am about 100 masterball cards away from completing my master 151 set. do you recommend i chill and buy the rest in japan or pick up some deals from whatnot and shows? is there much of a differece?
If you’re in Japan or Tokyo… got outside Tokyo like the province book off it’s cheaper… Tokyo is a tourist spot that’s why the price is higher… even don quijote.. outside Tokyo is cheaper.. just came back from the Japan a month ago…
I collected cards as a 90s kid but only the original 151. That collection is long gone, but I like watching your videos to see what else has come out over the years. I appreciate you going through so many different cards even if you don't purchase. I might start grabbing a few cards here and there as I see ones I like in your videos. For the pikachu cards that you bought (around 14 mins into the video) - they were marked as yellow (damaged?) but you said they look like 10s. For cards that are not worth as much to begin with, is it worth it to grade if they have a chance to come back as 9 or below? It would seem like the cost to grade relative to the card is too much? Maybe this is too basic of a question but I have almost no knowledge of modern collecting and the PSA grading. Thank you!
Hey thanks for the comment! It’s great that you’ve come back into the hobby. I would say for now don’t think about the value and what something might or might not be worth grading. Just enjoy it, especially if it’s lower value stuff. When it comes to higher end cards and purchases then factor in the financial implications of what may happen if you purchase the item and chose to grade it :)
Hey brother, if I wanted to buy a fk ton of japanese FA trainers, what would be the best way to do that from the US? I've looked through lots on Yahoo JP auctions, but I can't find what to search - and getting them individually on eBay is way more expensive, so not sure.
Hello Amir, I understand you are busy, I'm looking for quite a few masterballs and I fully understand that you have to make a profit. But I was wondering if there was a way of finding out what you have and for what price. I'm just trying to do a raw master set. If not then thankyou for replying.
Do you think that an average joe travelling from England to Japan on holiday can make part of their trip money back by buying from japan to sell in the UK? like £1k profit for example.
Japanese woman was like: Do really the cards that my cousin in china makes, cost this money😂😂😂 First of all , if these cards were good,no way you d have found them. Why the Japanese hadn't bought them already
I was your 1000th Subscriber! Congrats on the milestone, the video and cards were great.

Agreed 👌🏻
Kb leaving Randy to be full time camera operator for Amirs emporium 👀👏
Consider buying a mini UV black light pen light. Will help with condition checking including edge wear.

Q&A: How do you make a profit from buying Japanese singles, grading them, then sell them? Could you quickly go through the steps?
Look at single, buy single, grade single, grade 10’s, sell the 10’s for a profit, rinse and repeat
I hardly grade, so I'll deffo answer on the Q&A. My model is a little different

It also helps that the US Dollar is much stronger than the Yen at the moment. If that reverses, the margins here slim down

How do you feel about the future of Japanese old backs and how do you feel about the future of whatnot?
Q and A: what keeps you engaged in Pokémon besides the money?

What situation(s) do you have bringing cards back out of Japan with customs? Import duties etc.
How do you bring your cards back home? How do you deal with duties and customs?
Imagine spending 900 pound on one card and they don't give you a toploader..what a joke
Also have a Q&A question. What would be some stores with good variety for some more casual hunting to fill my collections
Hello where can you recommend getting 151 slabs or raw modern cards I'm looking for the big trio
34:51 I opened 6 boxes of BW7 back in the day, got Skyla, Victini and Colress. Very bad luck so I bought that zard for 70 Australian dolloars.
