Still, with winter tyres and even chains...if you get on what we call "blue ice" nothing gives you real protection. What Alex did (finding the safe spots) is the safest way to drive. We are equipped with chains and everything for that road, but you know well that with ice even chains may not be useful, but rather destabilize the vehicle with vibrations, reducing the contact point. @@mywildlifeitalia Be' amico le gomme termiche sono le soluzione migliori ma e' la prima volta e di anni ne' ho tanti che le catene non producono stabilita' .Se la macchina parte in quei tratti gelati non la ferma nemmeno Gesu'.Tanto il ghiaccio non sente male fidati.E' un rischio anche per i Green .Se ti becca il maltempo a 1300 metri voglio vedere come ritorni a valle . Il y a une tonne de raisons pour lesquelles je ne l'ai pas fait plus tôt, comme la cheminée s'effondrait, le sol en pierre était plus froid qu'un mur incomplet... pour n'en nommer que quelques-unes !

provato in passato, destabilizzano il veicolo e basta, le vibrazione sul ghiaccio troppo compatto ti fanno perdere aderenza. Per il futuro pensavo a gomme chiodate su cerchi indipendenti da montare al volo
Se non hai su dei pneumatici invernali , come minimo, sei in cerca di guai... Specie in discesa La soluzione migliore è avere la possibilità di installare dei rostri sulle ruote motrici: sono molto più facili da installare delle catene ed hanno la stessa efficacia. L ' inconveniente è che noln si possono installare su tutti i cerchioni.... ☹️☹️☹️ Altra possibilità è l'uso delle calze: io le ho usate per anni e su neve fresca / gelata danno un grip incredibile...

I have them and tried them last year, on such compact ice they destabilize you due to the vibrations. I will invest in studded tires

I am not sure if drivers in Italy are obliged to change to winter tyres like in many other European countries. Still, with winter tyres and even chains...if you get on what we call "blue ice" nothing gives you real protection. What Alex did (finding the safe spots) is the safest way to drive. I have them, and I have used them before on ice, it's worse, they destabilize your vehicle... you need studded tires, those are the ones
