Your original IT videos that you put up on RUclips we’re great. These revamped versions are even better! Thanks for redoing these in 2022 Eli. You really have an amazing way of explaining complex technical concepts
Old phone guy here. NEC not AT&T. I've always appreciated your classes. Years ago I begrudgingly learned what I needed to. Now that I Want to learn, you showed up again. Thank you!
Hello Eli, your videos are just great. Also, your didactics is very good. I really, really like the conceptual approach, with just right amount of detail and focus on the structure rather than getting lost in the details. As a professional programmer with nearly 15 years of working experience I understand your rants well, which adds to my overall enjoyment. Keep going!
Could you speak about how dynamic dns service can be defeated by your ISP burying your public facing IP behind another router in their network? For the uninitiated, it takes a long time to figure out why, as an example, you can't get an IP camera in your network, to respond to a request for data on the internet, even with a ddns hosting service. I'm not sure how this can be dealt with, it seems as though the port number for the IP camera gets stripped off going through the double NAT routing, and then any request for data coming back has nowhere to go. The IP camera can successfully communicate with the ddns service to tell it where it is, but its public facing IP is not what it thinks it is.

Why is it so important for Eli to mispronounce "Ethernet"? Dude, it's Eeeee-thernet. Not "Eth -er- net".
In the real world nobody cares how you pronounce it, they just want the damn thing to work
@@SwiftysRamblings The world I'm in is as real as it gets, and I care how it's pronounced.
ruclips.net/video/A5w42I9gAPE/видео.html go to minute 9:00 and you will understand why
@@Trev0r98In the video on it he goes over that and how despite being in the minority that's how he's always pronounced it
