When people say that R&B is dead, I think part of the reason for that is the lack of GROUPS!! A soloist can have a voice of gold but we need to hear MULTIPLE voices again. I think this song should get a wide spectrum of spins. Ella Mai’s Boo’d Up wasn’t just a hit on the R&B charts. It was the little song that could that had a wider appeal and still sounded like authentic R&B. I wish this song could have that kind of reach. It deserves the acclaim. I’m looking forward to hearing more from this group.
It has nothing to do with a lack of groups, it has all to do with the evil gate keepers of the industry. They don't want songs with positive messages of love & happiness, they want 304 oversexualised garbage, dark stuff & drill garbage. They just promote destroy black culture music. The Shindellas are a blessing of light in this dark era of music.
