The 2015 Lexus RC is Lexus' first serious performance luxury coupé in some time. Slotting in between the Lexus IS and GS in many ways, the RC is available in several forms. Things start with the 3.5L V6 equipped RC350 and RC350 F-Sport and top out with the 5.0L V8 in the 2015 RC F. The all-new model competes with the BMW 4-Serires, Mercedes C-Class, Audi A5, S5 and RS5 in addition to the Cadillac CTS and ATS Coupés.

Like it or hate it, the styling is something that literally EVERYONE will notice when they see it on the road. Lexus has made a stand-out style within their vehicle range. Be thankful they never incorporated a mimic of Audis signature grille, which has been found on Hyundai's Genesis sedan, and Fords new Edge Concept.
Excellent underrated video reviewer. You just got a new subscriber in me.
I just purchased a rc350 f sport in ultra white. Been driving it for about 3 weeks now. Best of both worlds in this car. In eco or standard mode it's like driving a refined luxury car. But with a turn of a switch it changes into a different car. The engine response and power tuning changes as well as the steering and handling. My car is the rwd version with adaptive suspension and variable ratio steering as well as rear wheel steering system. It all works very well in sport+ mode and if that is not fun enough then turn off traction control and it will let you kick the rear out on turns if you are a seasoned driver. What made me buy this car was basically it's a Lexus, so it's realiable. You won't be in the shop for repairs like other makes. Instead you're out driving and having fun. As a other person commented. This car does not take good pictures. There are so many lines and angles to the body of this car that just won't show in a photo. But when you see one in a dealership it is hard not to like it from all angles around this car. My advice is to see for your self. My opinion is the rc350 f sport is the best looking of the bunch. Lexus dealership gave me world class treatment and followup care. If you're in Maui, Hawaii then go to Servco Lexus Maui and see Johnny in sale. He will treat you like a king.
Of all the videos I have watched this is one of the most comprehensive reviews. The only other one that came close to this review is the one that got into detail of the different details like the undercarriage vortex molding, and wheel well air design. Well done review!
This car looks outstanding in person.
The luxes rc350f sports are fantastic 👏
Those gauge cluster concerns me even if it looked cool. It cost nearly $2,000 to replace motor if it were to malfunction.
im just thinking how this car would look if they cut the bottom half of the spindle out. would tone it down a lot and make the design a bit classier
Plus, you can also get the Acura TL SH-AWD for the same HP and if you find one with low miles, you'll save a lot of money on those too. These are kind of insulting to buy.
Can get a 2-3 Year Old,W/Low/Med.Mls, for Great Bargains.Thats how I got my Sonic Blue 17.
I really wish they'd get away from the 2 piece DRL/headlight housing arrangement with the Nike swoosh DRL's. It is horrible and the design doesn't even flow. They started this with the 2014 IS and now the RC. If the GS-F ever adopts this I'll paint over the damn things.
Is this car Atomic silver or liquid platinum?
The front is so upgly, not consistent.
this might be a good alternative to a Corvette
We are planning on purchasing a RC 350 f sport. we live in new york for now but will be moving to Florida in four years. I am not sure whether to go for rear wheel drive. I like that rear wheel drive gives you two more gears and 4 wheel steering with the variable steering option. If weather wasn't a concern which would you choice and why. thank you
Rear wheel drive with winter tires isn't all that bad, assuming you're on well maintained roads you should be fine.
they have awd options
Alex, I thought the S5 uses their 7-speed dual clutch and not the 8-speed automatic?
You're right about that, I had my wires crossed in the video. Either way the Audi gets more gears in the S5 than a RC350 AWD. The S5 will also be faster 0-60. The RC slots between the A5 and S5 in many ways.
the best car ı have ever seen..
What color is this, please? I think the gray but would appreciate confirmation.
Sorry but that interior is just ugly in my opinion. There is way too much going on.
non-functional duct....oh dear.
i wish Americans would stop using the pronunciation “koop” it sounds like a chicken shed.
It’s not “coo-pay” unless you’re a pretentious tea drinker with disgusting teeth
I think the car is over styled. There's just too much going on.
This car will turn heads just like the GS, LS and IS do right now. The DRL's are still fresh since alot of cars are just now starting to integrate them. Even Porsche is putting them on their newer models now. Is it a little over the top? Yes, but it won't make you die of boredom or make it hard to spot your car in the parking lot. With a sea of black, gray and white Audi's and BMW's everywhere around here, coming across this car in blue or Molten Pearl (RC-F specific) will be fantastic.
The Lexus value comes in at resale time. You can drive it 5 years and have no problem unloaded it at at a good price. No way for the Euro cars.
@Matthew M any idea why that is?
@@hankwpei Reliability,Had A 01 Toyota Tundra V6,I Used as Courier & Personal Truck.Trans.Lasted 485,000 mls,Fuel Pump 465,000 mls.Gear Reduction Starter 585,000 mls.
It's nice to see that Lexus is producing something that looks different to the norm. I really appreciate the TLC that went into this design. Over here in Europe all the other premium cars like audi, BMW, Mercedes all look the same with no futuristic designs. These manufacturers tweak the lights on their old design yearly and call them new. At least Lexus is bringing something fresh and futuristic to the table. Can't wait to get me one of these.
I will say that the RC does look way more impressive in person. The 2 special 5 stage paint colors are awesome. Ultra Sonic Blue and Infared are the coolest paint jobs I have ever seen in my life. You have to see them in the bright sunlight to get the full effect
Alex on Autos can you do a video of the cost of ownership and reliability between these luxury brands? Mercedes, Lexus, BMW, Jaguar, etc?
YESSSSSS great idea!!!!!! Please do this!!!!!
YESSSSSSS PLEASEEEEE DO THIS
My parents own a Merc S500 and the fixes are ridiculous at 120k miles...a dash light cost 3k to fix, the air suspension acting up, car dont want to start half the time, it was bassically a POS for +100k car. I am wondering if their reliability are better than a few years ago.
O dont forget cadillac
i really want to see... that is very important !!
I can't see myself trading in my geo metro for this Alex.
This car looks so much better in person than in video. We bought our 2 weeks ago, so comfortable and fun car. Came to Canada and purchase it, so much cheap for tose of you in USA. Can get a basic RC starting about $40,000 US with the exchange rate right now.
Allan Eng oh shit this man has a point.
It's a beautiful car. Thanks for the in-depth review.
Agree with everything here. Just bought this car. It is superior. I have driven all the competition and moved to this from my BMW M Sport
Good Job Alex. I like the styling. And since it is a Lexus, the reliablity should be a lot better than BMW.
one off the Best Car review RUclips channel out there! keep it up!
and for your information Seats are only Ventilated not cooled as mentioned
Sari Gassem You're right but it is quite common to use the term interchangeably even though ventilated is more accurate..
I was surprised to find such a cheap-looking interior in a Lexus...
Hate the cheap "vents" in the rear.
+W-_-T they look legitimate though
This is more like a replacement for the old SC coupe rather than a 4 series fighter. Just too heavy. I like N/A but it only really works with light cars. Heavy cars need turbos
can you do a review of the infotainment system along with the touch pad ? and compare it with the joystick/knob kinda thing in the IS F Sport ?
I will gladly trade my Ford Pinto and my Chevy Vega for this one.
quit talking and full throttle lol
Awesome looking car. Lexus is known for their Luxury ride, build quality and reliability. I like the regular grill better than the F-Sport.
Why make three models with the same engine? RC 350, IS350, and GS350, and then not even modify one of them to have more HP? Why just 306HP? I'd rather just buy a 2007-08 350Z for 306 HP and save a lot of money. That's lame Lexus. Plus, why buy the RC350 when it is slightly slower then the IS is too?
Lexus should really change this front/nose design to something similar to the LFA!
This Nike daytime running lights and the "Spindle" grill is really unsophisticated and distasteful.
The all new Audi A5/S5 is coming out soon, and Lexus will be screwed if they insist on doing these hideous designs of recent years. The first 2 generations of Lexus SC coupes are great looking cars, what happened to those designers??
Never ever under any circumstances but a European car 🤣 lease it only 😂
Why do people get into trucks? Who do that in real life?!
This was actually a really great overview. Thank you.
I know this may seem crazy but it looks a little like a mustang.
that center console tho
I like it and it has really good handling :D
Getting in the trunk nice creative touch. Great review, great car!
That's one sexy a$$ car! I love it!
So gorgeous it makes me sweat
Very detailed review.
The lexus rc 350 front is solo ugly they should shoot the designer. Glad they fixed it with the 350 f sport.
Good review
would u take this or audi s5?
Qiao Liu Tricky. I'd probably take the S5 and then dream about the Lexus when my Audi is in the shop.
Alex on Autos LOL
this or the 428i Gran Coupe M Sport ??? Help me out here people
435i matches up with this better but between this and the 428i..id go with 428i in my opinion. The RC looks ugly
also looks like an overstyled Camry from the back
John Smith i'm now on 435i or this. and i was so close to buying the lexus today. i just don't know man. lexus definitely looks way better in person than any 4 series. take my word for it. driving wise I don't know
Vishal Shah visuals, i guess its all opinion. I prefer a cleaner look and the lexus just has too much going on for me. Drive both of them. Honestly, I would forget the numbers and stats of both cars unless you're going to take it to a track and race them, which in most cases you won't. If I were you, Id get whichever is more fun to drive. People get high end cars for pleasure and enjoyment.
John Smith i drove them back to back and honestly i was expecting more from the 435 in comparison to the 428. you can feel the speed more but the lexus drives well too but it's unique and no one has it. all beemers look the same. with that said I don't know what to do but from what i've read the beemer drives better but ehhhh. too much man
I just drove one today and it was smooth as butter. However, steering was super numb and had little road feel. I also noticed that not only the 435i was faster, but the 428i that I drove before also felt faster than the f-sport.
I leased this car for 2 years. Absolutely hated the driveability of the car with no pep at all.
Good review. I prefer normally aspirated engines. Regular gas like the Cadillac
3.6 would be a big plus
I will give your review 6 out of 10 points.
SO THE LEXUS RC F WILL COST ABOUT $80,000 WHO THE FUCK WILL PAY 80,000 FUCKING DOLLARS FOR A JAP TOYOTA?
ORELAY HOLMES, PEOPLE PAID OVER $375,000 FOR THE LEXUS LFA.
No one, but a lot of people would pay $80,000 for a car from one of the worlds most prestigious brands, which by the way, isn't even built in Japan. That's like saying: Who would pay $100k for a stupid German Volkwagen, when they are buying an Audi. Or who would pay $60k for a Chevy when they are buying a Cadillac. Your entire comment is irrelevant.
afrosheenix YEah stupid people... you can buy a Ferrari 458 Speciale and have change... LOL
***** You can buy a Porsche 911 carrera for 80,000... yeah intelligent.
No, Lexus is prestigous and their cars are about as perfect as they come.
