I was selected as a team leader to help The Isle developers track down bugs in the soon to be released update for all of you, We've made sure to keep them busy by reporting bugs and issues we have experienced during gameplay this far. The goal is to give you a nearly if not completely bug free experience once this is in your hands. (When i say we're trying to save you a ton of frustration i mean it lol) I'm really happy i get to show you some of what we've done. Big thank you to Isle Developers Bryan and PunchPacket for spending nearly 12 hours straight with us to track down bugs in our first day!

Deino should make a nest like modern crocodilians. Dig a large hole, lay the eggs, cover them with dirt, and dig them up when it's time for them to hatch.
Umm no thanks. That would most likely require map modification and unless those nest sites for deino were already in, making deino nesting rather limited and making it easier for predators to find your eggs, I don't see how that'd work without tons of bugs and glitches, as well as people falling through the map.
As cool as it may be, it feels like it'd be more hassle than it's worth.
Edit: Someone was kind enough to let me know it could actually be possible and be a lot simpler than I originally thought. 😁
Not a bad idea but there are two kinds of the modern crocodilian nest, Hole nest where they dig a hole and bury the eggs to keep them safe/warm/humid but there are also mound nesters where the maker stays nearby to protect them, like the one they use now. But I definitely second the idea of different nest types 👍 plus they've done a really good job with the nest variety's especially hypsi
@@DeleteThis16946 Actually not. It would require no map edits and shouldn't be too intensive. If you recall Dryo's burrow you can do it akin to that. Make a nest, allow deinos to "cover" it, then put the eggs under the map.
Benefits: The eggs are now much safer
Cons: You now need to dig them up to allow someone to hatch.

It would also be pretty neat if adult deinos could carry the newborns in their mouth and into the water. But I feel like it would have many bugs, because each newborn is a player.
Love the hypsi nest, now I'm excited to see them all. Especially the flying boys. Also wanna see how big a Quetz nest could be.
I don’t know about anyone else, but I’m really excited to play as smaller creatures such as the hypsi and the troodon. Small things are just so cute and interesting to me!!!
Agreed, same here! I look forward to the Troodon the most I think!
@@wolffjaw I always loved the smaller, and faster dinos. So fun to play zooming around , being sneaky and cute.
I love starting out as a baby and working my way up as smaller creatures than slowly going up as bigger and bigger creatures, then after I have done all of that I just mess around as tiny creatures and occasionally snatch hatchlings.
I mostly want to play those because Im gonna bother bigger players like blinding then or just straight up give them bleed.
Oviraptor would be so cool with these new nests, like if Oviraptor could be able to steal your eggs or something fun like that, or maybe even pick up hatchlings and run with them

@@xenogaming9600 then they should make a fantasy animal not an dinosaur because tiger aren't vegetarian and oviraptor didn't steal eggs.
I don’t know when they did it but the way deinosuchus tail moves now is a lot more fluid and dynamic
i actually really love how involved the nesting seems to be!
Been having a blast helping out finding bugs and testing all the new mechanics. l really can't wait for the public to get their hands on this next update!

The different nests make for some unique choices of where you would like to build. I imagine the Hypsies building multiple nests near each other kinda like social weaverbirds, which I think is where the design of that nest came from. Or pteras nesting on the rocks where other dinos cant reach them and just bringing back food every once in a while
Can't wait for this update to finally be released. The nesting is going to bring so much to the game, easier to get into groups and whatnot. Plus the colors are going to bring so much change to the game. Most people don't even realize the subtle changes that are going to happen when everything looks unique. People are less aggro and more likely to check others out, unless they're hungry and it's in their diet.

Hopefully deinos water doesn’t drain as fast as usual. (Still draining fast just a LIL slower) just so nesting females and finding sticks you’re not constantly waddling back to the river to get water every 2 mins.
Im so exited for this update! in legacy I grow dinos mainly to nest and now in evrima, it will be even better! I cant explain how happy I am!

Thing that always confused me about nesting in The Isle is the only thing it does is take longer to get to adult, no other benefits just longer growth as games like Beasts of Bermuda has traits that can be passed down. So while nesting sounding cool for roleplay, i don't see myself doing it at all as what's the point.
eventually animals who spawn in will be marked with a tracker due to them being dropped of by merc/ the replicator allowing for mercs to track marked animals but with nesting you wont have one
you get adult protection and instant social interaction

I think I heard something about a difference between reaching old age from an egg, some kind of benefit, while not or something different with a spawned juvi to old age.
You get a pack and herd to live with instead of being a lone baby, super great for herbivores
i never though the isle would go so far as putting in egg-laying animations. It's hilarious. I laugh so hard every time I see it :)
I love Hypsi nest, the Juvenile, and the begging animations!
I really wish Dondi would give this game a larger dev team. He’s the only reason this games progression is so slow and that’s sad to see, as what the devs have done looks great.
A smaller dev team is more easily manageable.
@@jerzy484 It also means the game lacks progression..... Dondi has made an unreal amount of money from the isle. He CAN afford to pay for and manage a larger dev team.
i presume devs can be fund everywhere (talented devs grows like seeds on every person garden)

@@tvo8977 dondi is searching for new people everyday. But they obviously can't just pick whatever person, they need to meet the requirements of what the team wants/needs
I know a lot of people prefer the in ground deino nest, I actually like the twig nest for it instead. Deinosuchus are more related to alligators and caimans, who do use twig and branch nests instead. I’d like the nest to be more circular and flatter then the teepee sort of one, but its still fine.

Man I can't wait for this. Been waiting for nesting to come out before I started going on Envirma more and the fact it's coming soon has me excited! Especially after this video and I hope you decide to make another one cause learning more about this update that we can would be rad :)
I wish they had the weird water fart for courtship
And they lay eggs burried in sand not sticks
And in real life the temperature determines if the hatchlings will be male or female

YES PLEASE MAKE A FOLLOWUP I need to see ALL THE BABIES (hypsi is BY FAR the favorite tho, it actually looks and sounds and acts like a real bird baby and I LOVE that)
It takes devs a lot of time, but I'm glad to say they have delivered this time
Shouldnt a Deino have like.. a mud nest? or a hole? like how gators and crocs burry their eggs? Also, I wanna see a mama/papa Deino carrying its babies :o
Not to mention, when you break a nest some materials should drop from it

thanks for all the uploads, you're the reason i started isle back in 2017, i'm currently semi active in the isle playting at least once a week i can't wait to try this system when the public gets it, i saw some of your other videos with those other dragon games, they all look good, i currently have draconia, i hope they make more content but i do love dino's since they're real!

The hypsi nest looks like it is based loosely on the nest of an ovenbird, a type of bird that makes a nest shaped like an old style oven (that name must've been hard to come up with).

I dont want to sound rude here, but i think the animations are a bit cheap and not quality works. There are so many real life examples they could have chosen ideas from for the courtship animations and yet we got these... Also i really hope they gona make more type of nests like dirt and sand/foxhole type of nests for immersion and also to be able to pick up the hatchlings!
This is all still a work in progress. Things will probably be tweaked in the future, possibly animations changed etc. Also, I think there will about 50 animals so I would think there will be more variety of nests

Me binge watching isle videos because stress test nesting is the reason I played the isle the reason I grew now I finally will get it back soon I am so excited for skin system too back when I use to play legacy I always played with a black and white giga rest of the skins I had default now having legacy broken and unable to use the skin system for the moment I look back at those times wishing I would have made more skins overall very happy that this will hopefully be coming out to all of us sooner rather than later

Looks like the nesting stuff is legit. I imagine the groups having to take turns watching it while the other gathers food and play sentry. Very solid.
I really hope this game get finished and is playable someday. Mechanics talked about years ago are finally being implemented so I have a little hope.

they need to edit the darkness of the night. Nights are long in this game, and it is no fun running around for an hour not being able to see nearly anything

I stopped playing the Isle well over a year ago when they were talking heavy about Evirma and to see it still a W.I.P is crazy. Glad I took a break. They were changing a lot of mechanics just at the time I cant imagine it now.

Ant you can ask for food from your parents by holding E. The parent will then also hold E and will give you food
The courtship display the Hypsi does looks awfully similar to the courtship display a Peacock does.

I feel like hypsi’s display should be on its tail like a peacocks. Seeing that it flashes it’s tailing during courting
Some real life crocodilian facts you may want to pass on to the devs for the deino; nests are typically either deep holes covered with dirt, partially uncovered before they hatch, or large dirt mounds covered with debris to provide protection, and typically have large ant hills formed in them; most of not all crocodilians have a form of night vision, just as powerful as large cats; most crocodilians can also propel themselves almost completely out the water with enough momentum and water depth; most crocodilians, especially the American Alligator, which seems to be the closest resembled to the deino, bellow in water when searching for mates, while lowering in the water, their backs shake violently from the bellows making the water dance; crocodilians also have a a slow metabolism, only needing to eat maybe three to four times a year, equivalent to their body weight each time; and for last, to regulate body heat, crocodilians open their mouths to release excess heat, and during winter will submerge the whole of their bodies in water, since water retains heat longer than air, leaving only the tips of their nose out to breathe as they hibernate (only important if a season system is added, which I doubt)
