It’s funny to me how ppl didn’t understand the the undertones and foreshadowing of HIMYM. I figured it out half way through the series even with the ups and downs and heartbreaks. It was said from the beginning that it is TED & ROBIN. I think that the show runners/writers should have done the last season differently. Maybe not spent so much time on Robin and Barney’s wedding and spend more time showing the character development. Show more of Ted and Tracy (because that’s what most viewers wanted!) and then elaborate more on why Robin and Barney did not work out. You know the everything in between that felt so rushed in the last few episodes to the series. But even then… it has always been TED & ROBIN. I understand the fascination of Barney and Robin.. I truly do, but I knew they wouldn’t have worked out because deep down and everything she has done and accomplished in her life. Robin still felt empty and as we saw from the deleted scene with Ted and on the finale scenes where she yearned or missed being with Ted. The only person that ever made her feel AT HOME, LOVED, UNDERSTOOD HER,AND PROTECTED HER WAS TED. However, just like everything Ted and Robin…THE TIMING WAS JUST OFF!
That's why I will always wonder: if poor Tracy hadn't died in such a horrible and uncalled way, how can we know that Ted would not have eventually broken up with her in order to go back with Robin?
Ted and Robin are just perfect together, the ending couldn't have been any more perfect ❤️ Since the very beginning we've known they had to end up together, everything was just about timing for them . Maybe Tracy was perfect for him but Robin was the love of his life and turns out Ted didn't want perfect he wanted Robin. And Robin has always been in love with Ted but she didn't chose him bc she knew she couldn't give him the family with kids he wanted so bad, she chose his happiness over hers and that's true love. Again: PERFECT ENDING!! ❤️
I liked the ending and ted and robin. But I do believe Tracey was the love of Ted's life and robin was his first real love and in the end while it sad they killed off the mother's character Tracey went back to max and ted back to robin.
Ted and Robin’s friendship >>> their romance. I loved their friendship but I hated that Ted didn’t just want Robin, he wanted what she could be in his life. He wanted a wife, kids, the whole perfect suburbs shebang, and she didn’t. So no, it’s not that Ted didn’t want perfect. He wanted Robin when he already experienced “perfect” with Tracy. That’s probably what hurts the most, knowing that you’re just a consolation prize (but people who like this ship would call it timing).
What man really ted was ok when robin told him he can't have kids in season 6 i guess although ted always liked having kids. Man left one of his "perfect" Victoria to be in touch with robin. What else u think he could have done anymore for robin? Ted's first priority was always Robin man searched her locket from a fucking river🥺❤️
