I think the mayonnaise comment was a little in-joke. It was Mike’s ‘go to’ advice on every episode of Deals on Wheels. Knowing that Mike likes a wind up, I’d say he did this bit to wind up the Anoraks!
I think you are right oil and water create a thick milky substance however condensation can cause a similar issue I think it depends how the car has been used time of year ie cold temperatures journey duration etc
Just a note, the sit up & beg ford popular custom & the fiat panda 4x4 from later series are both active and seem to reside in East anglia. The popular visits car shows in great Yarmouth & the panda I've seen more than once at Arminghall car show in Norwich.
when it come to Jeeps and Land Rovers people buy them and only use them off road so no need for MOT Road tax etc they may be on sorn but they could well be still alive and kicking one could say the same for some sporty cars only used on track.
The problem with these awesome videos is that they wholly miss the point that an ageing but not rusted to heck car of a decade ago may have been worth "X". A decade or more later, with all those further years of decline, a n example in similar condition is infinitely rarer and the car in the WD program us again a ten or more year older car, a car from the days when cars were not built to last and would rust into disintegration within a decade. To think an old car in a reasonable condition equates to the market availability of a example of the same model in the same condition a decade or more later than the program is delusional.
@oscars garage, this is an excellent RUclips channel! The videos are excellent.. I’m trying to track down my first rolls Royce silver spirit F32 RBM if you could help that would be great as it’s a car with a very interesting history and would make a great video on your channel!
@@oscarsgarage447 I’m not sure exactly but I have some photos when it had the renegade livery but it was sold to a guy that left it in a field then Mike and ed picked it up
Really enjoying these wheeler dealers videos. Thanks for all your work you put into them
Glad you enjoy them.
The jeep sold on eBay not long ago I’ve got the photos if you’d be interested in them
That would be brilliant - we could do a follow up!

3:29 the car they had was a LHD, so is the PC price for LHD?
Fair comment, I would imagine it would be RHD. -10% for LHD?

You can search by Vin number.
It's a VIN, not a Vin number. Just a point of correction.
I know, it is often mis-stated.... As I've done here intentionally.
Good merry state 😁
Yup, seemed easier to record... worryingly!
