The reason he's a common name recently is because he was criticizing and parodying a reaction RUclipsr named SSSniperwolf for stealing content and not crediting the original creators. She didn't take the criticism well and decided to dox Jacksfilms home to her Instagram followers.......which there is over 5 million of. Normally doxing would get you in a lot of trouble on YT (see Act Man vs Quantum TV) but since she's pretty much one of YTs golden geese (over 30 mil subs) and YT has openly endorsed her in the past she's pretty much getting a slap on the wrist punishment which has caused an uproar amongst RUclipsrs.

But internet sleuths have been finding for stuff out about her that isn't really good for her (criminal record, Omegle vids where she convinces minors to either twerk on camera or one case cause someone to flash their chest, and pretty much doube, triple, and quadrupling down on Social Media after being called out for her doxing.)
That makes me think of the several moments where I’m just chilling in my room working on stuff and I just hear down the hallway my friends scream my name, like my dogs didn’t even alert me to anyone being here, they’ve done this on several occasions, and honestly, I’m here for it
