I was a delivery guy at a pizzeria, whenever there where no customers or orders, the cook showed me how to make dough or how to cook several pasta dishes. After a couple of month i was able to cook the whole menu. But i think i learned cooking by watching for example how my mother was cooking. Also watching cooks on youtube. There is nothing wrong or right in cooking. When the food tastes good then the mission is accomplished :)
I’ve been cooking for 7 years and the moment i realized I was getting good at cooking was when I could throw a bunch of stuff together and make it taste good with no planning. Cooking isn’t something you just learn, you have to progressively get better at it.
I am 12 and love cooking and self taught thanks to youtube 😁 and a big foodie l live to eat For me l was brought into cooking by my dad because he would tell me to peel potatos and carrots when l was 9 and then l found the popsicle mold we never used so l made orange popsicles and then more popsicles and l started cooking in the stove Thanks to quarentine for helping me find what l love ❤️
Only 12 years old and already cooking for yourself? That is _amazing_ . Cooking is such a great hobby to have because all of us depend on food to survive, it's not an "optional" activity like so many other hobbies are. So if you can learn to make your own food, you can take control of your diet and can work towards ensuring it is both nutritious and delicious - rather than becoming reliant on outlets like fast food, which is expensive and also not healthy for us. I'm seriously impressed you got into cooking at such a young age, and I hope you continue cooking into your adult years. If you started so young, by the time you're an adult you'll likely be an _amazing_ chef.
@@Keralite29Omg thank you soo much u r so sweet❤️ Well life update i am goin to be 14 in 2 months and i am still very much in love with cooking. And i see that u have soo much knowledge about cooking and i really appreciate u sharing that Thank u soo much cause u made me feel so happy❤️
Loved your stuff with Akshay! Indian food has so many steps and process its exhausting af, but the end results are always (usually) amazing. Just one correction though, Naan is already bread, so when people say Naan bread, you're saying bread bread. Lol
This guy is super handsome, he's really lucky in that regard. I wish him the best. I try not to be jealous of beautiful people anymore, it just makes me feel worse about myself.

That led me to feeding the line & being a prep cook. Be early & stay late , don't go to school. Fellow cooks/chefs are the BEST teachers.always ask questions 🔪 like he says.

Hey Matt I don’t really celebrate my birthday but next year I want to travel out of state to try out different foods, I love to cook and want to see which city should I visit
I first learned to cook off my mum, then when I moved out I learnt from books and now from books and RUclips 😊, I like to think I'm a decent home cook, I could never work in a kitchen though lol
What is the story behind the main frying pan you use? How long had it, what type if someone wanted to get similar pan. What is the item in your home kitchen you’ve had the longest?
First of all it's not called naan bread its just naan if you put garlic butter on it then its garlic naan and this one would be tandoori naan second of all which is just my opinion I call the flat ones naan and these ones which are a bit more denser I call them roti and the ones that kinda look like tortillas but are made with wheat I call them chappatis
Ok, I'm going to say this : Do we call Mexican Moljacete , the Moljacete "Mortar and Pestle"? No we don't, we just call it the Moljacete. Similarly, we don't call the Naan, the Naan "Bread". Just call it Naan. Naan in Hindi means Bread. I'm just trying to make you LEARN 🙂👍🏻
@@Keralite29 It wasn't too sad, just single mother working a bit long so lunch had to be done by myself. Wasn't unhappy about it at any time, and it gave me a lot of experience at an early age (doing mistakes and learning to avoid them)
@@TheDiamondBladeHD I'm glad you made the best of those circumstances. At the mere age of 7 you had to teach yourself certain survival skills that a 28-year-old like myself only just started learning a few years ago. I still feel rather sad imagining a 7-year-old having to cook for themselves though, even if that was just an ordinary part of life for you. But I also wish I had learnt such important life skills at such a young age. Was your mother the one who taught you how and what to cook for yourself? Did cooking become one of your main hobbies since then?
@@Keralite29 My mom barely taught me anything, maybe some tips on Pho, a vietnamese beef soup. Other than that I just learned everything by myself, sometimes through trial and error, sometimes through the internet. Nowadays, if I want to know how something is cooked, I'll try to find out through tasting and inspecting the texture and how it looks. I'd say cooking is a hobby of mine, but not one of the main ones. I have a lot of hobbies in a lot of different fields, but I rarely cook just for cooking sake, but rather because I need to make Dinner, Lunch, etc.
