Hi sisi, Nolitha here, what exactly are read alouds? and What do we use them for?
Where do you thrift? I'm in Witfield i dont mind driving to surrounding areas.

Read-alouds are wholesome books you read aloud to your children. It can be picture books for the young ones or even chapter books. I use them for bonding with my children, as well as a way to enhance their vocabulary, imagination and its actually very good for emerging readers. If you want to learn more about this you get Sarah Mackenzie's book " the read-aloud family'.
I go to Irene homes and Ons winkel in Lyttelton, those are my go to thrift stores. Also join homeschool exchange on facebook, I sell and buy homeschool books there as well.
