Aaron Charles Carter was born December 7, 1987 in Tampa, Florida, to Jane Elizabeth (Spaulding) and Robert Gene Carter. He was the younger brother of Nick Carter (the Backstreet Boys) and had three sisters.
He began his music career at age seven, singing lead for the band "Dead End" for two years. He made his first solo appearance when he was 9, opening for the Backstreet Boys in Berlin in March 1997. The performance was followed by a record contract and, in the fall of 1997, he released his first single, "Crush On You".
His first full-length album "Aaron Carter" came out Dec 1, 1997. It achieved gold status in Norway, Spain, Denmark, Canada and Germany. The album was released in the United States on June 16, 1998. On May 18, 1998, Carter released the EP "Let The Music Heal Your Soul", a fund-raising project that featured vocals by Carter, the Backstreet Boys, 'N Sync, the Moffatts and other artists. His next album, Aaron's Party (Sep 26, 2000), was released in the United States under the Jive Label. The album achieved triple-platinum certification.
At 13, Carter recorded the album "Oh, Aaron" (Aug 7, 2001) which featured his first duet recording with his brother Nick. "Oh, Aaron" was accompanied by a video/DVD of the same name (March 26, 2002) which included footage of his 2001 concert in Baton Rouge, Louisiana as well as music videos and interviews. Play Along Toys also created an Aaron Carter action figure along with the album's release.
Carter's next album, "Another Earthquake" (September 3, 2002), was released during the 2002 "Rock, Rap, and Retro" tour. The album featured the patriotic-themed "America A O" and the ballad "Do You Remember". Most Requested Hits was released November 3, 2003. The collection included tracks from his last three albums as well as a new single, "One Better".
Carter was also an actor. His TV appearances include Lizzie McGuire (2001), Sabrina, the Teenage Witch (1996) and 7th Heaven (1996). His first lead role in a feature was in Popstar (2005).
On November 5, 2022, Carter died at his home in Lancaster, California, at age 34. His body was found in his bathtub by a housekeeper. He was cremated, and his ashes were left in the care of his twin sister Angel. The cause of death was not immediately publicized, but the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner-Coroner later ruled that Carter's death was accidental: drowning after inhaling difluoroethane and taking alprazolam.
Carter's ashes were interred at Forest Lawn Memorial Park (Hollywood Hills).

My oldest daughter was the same age as Aaron (by just a few months). She was a huge fan of The Backstreet Boys so she mostly had posters of his brother, Nick when she was a teenager. She actually met Aaron back in late 2016 when he came into her work place. She was a bartender in Key West. She said he was so nice, friendly, & very down to Earth. He ended up hanging out at the bar area instead of going to a private table. He sat there on the barstool & chatted with her while she worked for quite a long time. She said he ended up leaving before her shift was over but he gave her an autograph & took several photos with her. She passed away 2 years later in July 2018. They both died one month before their birthdays. Her b-day was in August & Aaron's was in December...

His mom was very mentally and emotionally unstable.
*** She let him be taken advantage of and she also took advantage of him financially.
It's sad that he didn't get the opportunity to live 😕 like a little boy,to experience going to school because he was busy touring.
*** People don't give him enough credit for how talented he truly was.
    He played the piano beautifully.
Life had to be incredibly difficult for him trying to follow in his older brother's footsteps,👣 but he became pretty famous without being in a boy band.

Anybody could have, they just didn’t want to. He wasn’t worth the effort to them. He definitely wanted help & the first step is communication, they didn’t communicate since well prior to the catalyst that sent him in a deep relapse. COVID allowed it to take hold. His escape from everything including drugs was touring. He couldn’t tour, then being bullied online at home after being abandoned by your family & backstabbed (literally) by a relationship, he spiraled & sadly rightfully so. Anyone would have. He tried, no one else did & no one can do that alone. He did go longer than anyone expected but he didn’t have enough time to get through to the other side & not enough time after COVID to get back to normal. Sad product of the time. I’ll miss my bro & the true story behind what he went through I’ll always say it.

Was so sad. Back in 2010 whe I was first becoming a recording artist I had a separate youtube page that I posted singing videos on and his confirmed account started following me. We weren't super close but did talk a little bit. He told me he loved my sound, but the one thing he said to me that I have kept dear to my heart was his advicd on the industry. To "always stay humble" and to "remember who you are through all of this when you blow up". May he rest in peace. He was so genuine. 🙏🏽

In my own opinion, I think had he lived a normal simple life like most of us do, I think he would still be here. In any case Scott, you and Grimm Life Collective are my two fav channels for re-visiting people's resting places and the story of their life behind them. It's sad to see he was so young and all he wanted was love , to be accepted ,, he was treated terrible when he was online .
Aaron was used by so many.
All he wanted to do was go to florida to go see & spend time with his mom but melanie put a stop to that .
So many celeb's passing on by drowning ,matthew perry was the latest ,,Aaron had said he was scared for his life.
I hope he is finally at peace and is up there with his sister & dad 🙏🥺🙏

Been a fan since he came out with "Crush On You" and when I told him that he thanked me. He really loved his fans and was so nice to us. I didn’t really follow him in recent years, but when I heard of his death, I looked him up and was shocked. It truly affected me watching someone deteriorate so badly. I couldn’t imagine why people thought it was okay to poke fun at him at his lowest as well. He seemed to have a very good heart and soul and was beautiful. ❤ This is a beautiful plaque but the only thing that i don’t like about it is his son’s name written on it. That shouldn’t be on a gravestone. Rest well with the angels, Aaron. 🙏🏻👼🏼
