Aaron Charles Carter was born December 7, 1987 in Tampa, Florida, to Jane Elizabeth (Spaulding) and Robert Gene Carter. He was the younger brother of Nick Carter (the Backstreet Boys) and had three sisters.
He began his music career at age seven, singing lead for the band "Dead End" for two years. He made his first solo appearance when he was 9, opening for the Backstreet Boys in Berlin in March 1997. The performance was followed by a record contract and, in the fall of 1997, he released his first single, "Crush On You".
His first full-length album "Aaron Carter" came out Dec 1, 1997. It achieved gold status in Norway, Spain, Denmark, Canada and Germany. The album was released in the United States on June 16, 1998. On May 18, 1998, Carter released the EP "Let The Music Heal Your Soul", a fund-raising project that featured vocals by Carter, the Backstreet Boys, 'N Sync, the Moffatts and other artists. His next album, Aaron's Party (Sep 26, 2000), was released in the United States under the Jive Label. The album achieved triple-platinum certification.
At 13, Carter recorded the album "Oh, Aaron" (Aug 7, 2001) which featured his first duet recording with his brother Nick. "Oh, Aaron" was accompanied by a video/DVD of the same name (March 26, 2002) which included footage of his 2001 concert in Baton Rouge, Louisiana as well as music videos and interviews. Play Along Toys also created an Aaron Carter action figure along with the album's release.
Carter's next album, "Another Earthquake" (September 3, 2002), was released during the 2002 "Rock, Rap, and Retro" tour. The album featured the patriotic-themed "America A O" and the ballad "Do You Remember". Most Requested Hits was released November 3, 2003. The collection included tracks from his last three albums as well as a new single, "One Better".
Carter was also an actor. His TV appearances include Lizzie McGuire (2001), Sabrina, the Teenage Witch (1996) and 7th Heaven (1996). His first lead role in a feature was in Popstar (2005).
On November 5, 2022, Carter died at his home in Lancaster, California, at age 34. His body was found in his bathtub by a housekeeper. He was cremated, and his ashes were left in the care of his twin sister Angel. The cause of death was not immediately publicized, but the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner-Coroner later ruled that Carter's death was accidental: drowning after inhaling difluoroethane and taking alprazolam.
Carter's ashes were interred at Forest Lawn Memorial Park (Hollywood Hills).
My oldest daughter was the same age as Aaron (by just a few months). She was a huge fan of The Backstreet Boys so she mostly had posters of his brother, Nick when she was a teenager. She actually met Aaron back in late 2016 when he came into her work place. She was a bartender in Key West. She said he was so nice, friendly, & very down to Earth. He ended up hanging out at the bar area instead of going to a private table. He sat there on the barstool & chatted with her while she worked for quite a long time. She said he ended up leaving before her shift was over but he gave her an autograph & took several photos with her. She passed away 2 years later in July 2018. They both died one month before their birthdays. Her b-day was in August & Aaron's was in December...
Sorry for your lost as well. Beautiful story.
I'm so very sorry 🩷
💔
My condolences to you and your daughter family and friends 🙏🙏🌹🌹 so sorry to hear that may she rest in peace
I'm so sorry for your loss!! As a mother of two grown sons...I can't even imagine!! My heart hurts for you! You will be in my prayers! ❤
We've lost far too many young, beautifully creative souls to addiction and terrible mistakes. So so sad.
Can't believe it's been a year already. This one hit me hard; I grew up with him. RIP Aaron ❤️
Feel what Ur saying,I grew up with Caroline flack ,it's heartbreaking still can't believe not here❤
I know, me too 😞
I said the same thing,it's been already a year 😮 wow
@@NataEna4 That's not what I said.
@@NataEna4 As in we are the same age, and I GREW UP listening to BSB and Aaron's music. He was a part of my life since I was a child. Everyone knew what I meant except you for some reason. You are the most annoying type of person who likes to start arguments just for the sake of arguing. If I knew him I would've said I knew him. Now go away.
I never felt so helpless for a person I never knew! He had so much he was battling and drama that just took him down. Rest In Peace Aaron.
I feel so bad for his Mom
Imagine having to bury 2 of your children in your lifetime💔💔💔
@@ciara313245 indeed
@ciara313245 I don't have to imagine it, as I have lost 2 sons...one kia in Iraq and one shot in Greensboro N.C....it sucks, believe that...
I don't disrespect people but why did he not get help there is charity's helplines organisations and rehabs that deal with this xx
@LisaChrimes-bt5cq it is such a great question. I just think in my opinion Aaron had so many demons he was battling with. His eyes tell you his story and those who said those disparaging comments on his livestreams (you can see them on RUclips in reel forms) it just made things worse. His story was tragic before his death and Michael wise now after his death.
I used to watch Aaron live everyday and unfortunately I knew his death was coming close. I hope Aaron has the peace that eluded him here on earth.❤😢
I saw his lives on instagram and the hate he received was truly horrible.
@@breephoenix111 That's true!
@prittyflutterbystar it was truly upsetting and he looked so hurt, and he would ask, "Why do you hate me?" to those horrible people online. Absolutely broke my heart. I hope he has found peace.
@@breephoenix111 well said😔
How'd you know his death was near?
I’m so glad you found him! His death was a shock to me, he was the same age as my son when I lost him. I followed Aaron praying he found the help he needed. No doubt at times he tried. So Aaron I pray you are resting in paradise with no more demons. Thank you Scott so much. ❤
Why did it shock you? Just look at the guy and you could see it was going to end badly.
@@zzzdogutubethat’s not very nice, we are all deserving of help when we need it.
I didn't say that to be mean or uncaring . It was just obvious that he was crashing and needed help. He was not stable and doing self destructive things. Also, I only posted my last comment once, why it posted several times it must have been a RUclips glitch.
@@zzzdogutube Wow so sad how cold people are still. Please if you can't show him respect at least do it for his family.
One year ago today, the world lost one of our favorite childhood singers of the Early 2000s!
RIP Aaron Carter! Your Music and legacy will live on forever!
Such a beautiful and classy tribute, as always, Scott. I'm not normally someone who follows or cares about celebrities. But as a human being who is also flawed, I will always root for a person who struggles. Aaron was far too young and an incredible talent. RIP Aaron.
Still doesn't feel right looking for Aaron Carter in a graveyard. You will always be in my heart, mind and soul Aaron. I love you so much, you deserved so much better. I love you forever. RIP Aaron Carter.
When Aaron Carter passed away last Year, I cried cause I had the pleasure of meeting him in 2017. We even took a picture that I have on my phone, he was such a nice guy 😢 he didn't deserve to die 😭
@@49ersfan834 He was a nice guy
He truly loved his fans, it's so sad he couldn't get the help he desperately needed. He had a son to live for. 😭 RIP 🙏 ❤
He was always kind to his true fans. Literally he helped me in so many ways. And meeting him was one of the best days of my life. It breaks my heart that he’s no longer here with us.
I feel you!
It’s always tragic when someone dies but the way Aaron died and how young he was is so heartbreaking. He had so much to live for but like too many stars, addiction took him. So sad.
I don’t know. Regardless, if that is true or not, the whole story is still very sad. Addiction is a horrible thing that destroys people. The entire family is messed up.
I heard and read that he had to tke out a restraining order against Aaron. It's very unfortunate that he's gone, the outcome would be different if he sought help once again regardless who he ws hanging out with and paying attention to.Great tribute Scott !
Everyone is been through troubles in our lives and he was no different he loved his fans and family even though they always did not see eye to eye with each other we must remember to respect the people that are no longer with us please rest in peace 🙏🙏🙏🥲🥲🥲♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
@ericmangels4917 but did you ever hear Aaron say anything remotely like that. Aaron said he didn't and I believe him. It was hearsay. Someone told Angle he said that and she told nick.
@bellasue02 No I didn't but do u think he would hve said it even if it was true ? I found out about it on the news. Still the awful part about all of this is he's gone,we will see him some day but it's still tragic that the outcome remains the same.
It’s sad about what happened to Aaron Cater he was hurting reaching out for help sometimes in the wrong way and the media was cruel Vicious vultures may his soul be at peace.
Still can't believe he is gone! Years ago, I was going through some serious relationship troubles and his music pulled me through it all. I wish someone could have done that for him. RIP Aaron. I hope you are at peace now.
I still can’t believe that he is gone. So so sad. RIP to him
I’m glad to see they have him resting in a beautiful place. God rest his soul, and god protect his baby boy.
No Aaron is with his sister and father spread out in the ocean , key west. He is not layed out in that cemetery. Sorry to tell you that. Maybe there's a headstone there, for people . But he isn't buried there.
Rest easy Aaron. Gone but not forgotten. Thank you Scott.
😢 Aaron NEVER had a chance to live a peaceful life..
His mom was very mentally and emotionally unstable.
*** She let him be taken advantage of and she also took advantage of him financially.
It's sad that he didn't get the opportunity to live 😕 like a little boy,to experience going to school because he was busy touring.
*** People don't give him enough credit for how talented he truly was.
He played the piano beautifully.
Life had to be incredibly difficult for him trying to follow in his older brother's footsteps,👣 but he became pretty famous without being in a boy band.
*** It's sad that he didn't have more supportive people around him.
Tan bello talentoso dejo un niño pequeño descansa en paz aaron carter te amamos
His Fool's Gold song is nice!
😔💔
Ahora descansa de una vez y está en paz y está en compañía de sus hermanas y su padre 🥲
Well done to Sarah for helping Scott out with finding Aaron Carters grave site, May he RIP and never be forgotten 💐💐💐💐🥰, Aaron died way before his time, he’s in the most beautiful cemetery with spectacular views, best wishes to his family for there sad loss.🥲🥲💐. Thank you so much Scott for taking us back there to see his grave. Xxxx
Aaron Carter I think was a deeply beautiful but wounded soul who couldn't overcome how wounded he was.
Definitely. People have no idea unless you knew him (like I did) what he went through. He was the best friend I ever had & I got to see way more than those bashing him to this day did.
@@Fireteam2479 I to this day can't believe it. RIP Aaron. Gone but never forgotten. We all miss you.
Thank You Scott for finding Aaron Carter's grave!! I can't believe that tomorrow 11/5/22 it has been 1 year since he passed away 😥😭😇💔 R.I.P. Aaron you're surely missed by so many.
Scott, I know you don't have time to respond but I take my hat off to you because of your genuine empathy and caring words that really does hit the spot.
My soul broke when he passed away. Mental illness makes you do horrible things. He deserved so much more in life. R.I.P Aaron…
“Mental illness makes you do horrible things” What are you implying?
@@deadringer333I am sure it’s because when you’re going through horrible mental health conditions you lose judgment and your brain is not functioning the way it should/could be.
@@bambimayyeverything he suffered was from drug abuse. It has nothing to do with mental illness if that illness is drug induced. That is simply what addiction does. Let's not conflate that with mental illness where people are victim to genetics or severe trauma.
@@GetUnwoke how do you know he wasn’t going through issues that lead to him doing drugs? People who have mental issues try everything to feel better. They feel like there’s no light at the end of a tunnel so they try anything to just have some relief. Some seek professional help but unfortunately some resort to drugs. We don’t know what anyone is personally dealing with personally so to try and make them out to be meaningless is just soulless.
@@lisabarnes2477 you're making assumptions as to his mental health. He was for sure sick, but it was well known he was a huge drug addict. That's why his brother had to cut him off like you do with all addicts.
I was a fan of Aaron from the very first minute. That was back in 1997. My parents got me his first album and I used to hear it all the time. Aaron is definately a part of my childhood. Now I am 37. It hit so hard hearing about his passing. I truly miss Aaron 🕯🖤🤍
As an empath who lives approximately 12 miles from his home, on his last utube filming, I happened out of the clear blue sky to see him on utube and I KNEW or could tell, he was in an awkward emotional state:-(
His passing is so unfortunate. Such a handsome, talented and nice guy. My condolences to his family, fans and loved ones. RIP Aaron.
Any of us that were watching daily knew this was coming. As an addict myself, you lie lie lie until your truth becomes your funeral
@@CatBrash I know plenty of addicts that survived. That's silly. There's noway you know when or if someone is going die.
@@bellasue02 you can genuinely watch the wasting of a human. You must not really see junkies

Thanks for sharing Scott
Thank you for taking the time to look for Aaron's grave to help his fans. And thank you for your kind, respectful words with no judgments. Aaron will always be so loved and missed.
I still miss getting Instagram and TikTok notifications 1000 times a day when he'd go live lol No doubt he was talented and I for one am still grieving. It's so sad and tragic and he's definitely missed for sure!!!
Yesssss! I miss it, too!💯
I never met him in person. But I became friends with him through Twitter/DMs. He received a lot of hate on social media and the media . Miss ya, brother.
Scott you always have such respect for living or dead. Your the most loving man i ever seen in longtime. good job! your loyal viewer Vickie💓
Scott, you have an amazing heart and you're a great human. His passing was shocking, but not surprising. It broke my heart because I'd watch him knowing he was going to die, but I didn't believe he would die so soon. I prayed ANYBODY in his family would just step up and help him, especially since Leslie died. My family is pretty dysfunctional, but we ALWAYS help each other in a crunch. My brother stepped up for my own addiction. I'm 8 years, 2 months, and 6 days clean. I couldn't have done it without his love. Rest easy Aaron. I'm praying for your son.
Anybody could have, they just didn’t want to. He wasn’t worth the effort to them. He definitely wanted help & the first step is communication, they didn’t communicate since well prior to the catalyst that sent him in a deep relapse. COVID allowed it to take hold. His escape from everything including drugs was touring. He couldn’t tour, then being bullied online at home after being abandoned by your family & backstabbed (literally) by a relationship, he spiraled & sadly rightfully so. Anyone would have. He tried, no one else did & no one can do that alone. He did go longer than anyone expected but he didn’t have enough time to get through to the other side & not enough time after COVID to get back to normal. Sad product of the time. I’ll miss my bro & the true story behind what he went through I’ll always say it.
What a beautiful etched plate for Aaron's stone. It's always extra sad when a young person dies and especially when it was a preventable death. It happens way to often and I wish there was a way to combat it. Noone can judge him though because at some time in most of our lives we have all done something that could have killed us. We were just lucky, and he wasn't. Thanks for doing this, Scott. I hope by now your rested up. You need to take care of yourself too. RIP Aaron and prayers for Aarons loved ones and especially his baby boy. He will grow up and cherish all of their pictures together forever ❤💐
Way too small for a person of his status
Well said Flo 👏

R.I.P. Aaron Carter. My daughter used to listen to him and Nick Carter,s music. Thanks Scott for sharing.❤😢
Was so sad. Back in 2010 whe I was first becoming a recording artist I had a separate youtube page that I posted singing videos on and his confirmed account started following me. We weren't super close but did talk a little bit. He told me he loved my sound, but the one thing he said to me that I have kept dear to my heart was his advicd on the industry. To "always stay humble" and to "remember who you are through all of this when you blow up". May he rest in peace. He was so genuine. 🙏🏽
He died way too young. It was even worse to watch clips of his brother Nick talk about him. Nick did everything he could to help his little brother. Aaron, you didn’t deserve this, ever.
