Very informative but worth noting that after the infection has swept through a population using the PCR test on non symptomatic subjects without the lab providing the Ct number is pretty useless as most of the results are expected to be false positives as the Ct threshold is set too high for what could be commercial profiteering goals. More positives mean more tracing, more tests and the money spinning wheel keeps turning. If exposed to a symptomatic person, a better strategy is to do an antigen test while starting isolation and repeat after 3 days if first is negative. The is far cheaper and you can get out of isolation quicker if the second test is negative as well.
Agreed on most of this, for sure. The lack of CT information is... highly disturbing. 'Just trust papa FDA and CDC'... seems those in combo with rapid antigen (and repeated, depending on situation) is more reasonable. I cannot get any lab to tell me that they can provide the CT ... guess us common folk (well, and apparently the hospital and clinical staff??) can't handle meaningful data...
Virus lysate frees antigen sites to bind with virus sepcific mobile and fixed antibody. Other one is positive control not for virus. Its not for viral antigen.
Too good and very informative video. I have a question that the antibody which placed in antigen test kit for target antigen can be used as antidote for covid 19 disease??
@Vyas Kajal. A very good question. Yes several efforts hve been made to develop similar monoclonal antibodies against SARS- CoV2. But did not become popular choice. Also too costly to produce these antibodies in bulk quantities for everyone.
Hello, As we know that the rapid antigen test was based on the principle or format of sandwich ELISA so what will be format or principle on which rapid antibody test was based can you name it. It will be very helpful.
Please can someone explain to me. O rh - blood group doesn’t have antigens, so will a test always be negative? Or am i going in completely the wrong direction, I’m just curious.
RT PCR. Also consider symptoms and do not be affraid. believe in your immunity. Follow good diet. if symptoms are there and its moderate to severe consult doctor.
Been here to find answers. I have received sinovac last May 7.. then after 10 days we had a rapid antibody test. My kit turn out to be a faint IgM positive. What does that mean?
@Sheerah. I think in response to vaccine, you are generating an immune response in the form of antibodies that came in antibody test. To me it is a good signal. Can you share your experience after you got vaccinated?
All depends upon severity of disease, medication you take, healthy food and other routine you follow. Most importantly your state of mind should be strong and positive. Consult a very good doctor. Report how you really feel to him. Regularly moniter everyone. Avoid negative talks and NEWS. I hope all will be ok.
My antigen test report is postive And RT PCR report is negative What to do next? I am only have a minor fever like 99.4 degree temperature and nothing else
Better to Consult a doctor. Tests are sometimes wrong. Either you have to repeat them. If you do not have much problem in breathing, nor you have cough. And if fever goes away with normal paracetamol chances are you need not to worry much and take general medicines that doctor will prescribe.
The RT PCR lab technicians must be sacked! They are not doing the job properly. Highly likely you got Covid19 and you have mild symptoms. OTOH, if the ART test kit is faulty and RT PCR test is correct, then you have flu.
When our body encounters virus, our immune system produces soluble antibodies against that virus (antigen). The soluble antibodies are present in plasma/serum. This plasma may be used for treating severely ill covid-19 patients. I will make a detailed video in some time. Thanks
In real, I am not sure how much accurate the test is. It just detects viral antigen if present in the Naso-pharyngeal swab. You may not know if the infection has reached to lungs.
Hi I hope somebody answers. I got tested for saliva antigen test. I’m a bit confused with the results. I have a clear line on the C but there’s an unclear line on the T as well, does that mean I’m positive or not? Thank you in advance.
@Aprille The test gives good results only after few days of infection when viral load increases to a detectable limit. Either it has to be redone or reverified using qRT PCR
1) Can Rapid Antigen test show a false positive result? (Or that happens with RT PCR only) 2) Can covid vaccination itself cause a positive Rapid Antigen test?
@Beysr and @Limmy. Your doubts are genuine. One needs to understand that whether you got mRNA vaccin or attenuated virus vaccin or Viral spike protein, it is very unlikely that you test positive. The reason is that the attenuatwd virus or its part will not be present in nasopharyngeal sample. Secondly, you are injected an inactive virus or spike protein or its mRNA that will not multiply and cause disease in you. You may test positive in Rapid antigen or RT PCR if you get in contact with real virus before, during or after vaccination. Although, you may test positive for rapid antibody test as you would have developed antibodies against virus/protein after vaccination. Thats right
Sir it will be of great help if u could share( antibodies testing kits) that are cheap for reserch work students
This is just an educational video. I do not have these kits.
Thanks a lot, very essential today!
So in the antigen test the virus interacts at the same time with both FIXED antibodies?
is the second one paired with an enzyme?
thank you in advance
Virus lysate frees antigen sites to bind with virus sepcific mobile and fixed antibody. Other one is positive control not for virus. Its not for viral antigen.
Got to know difference between antigen and antibody test.
How in some cases there is only the test line (which is considered invalid). Could u tell why it works like that ?

Hello,

Thank you! I want to ask a maybe dumb questions, is Antigen Test related/similar to ELISA test?
Yes, in a way that both involves Ag-Ab binding for antigen detection. But no enzyme is linked to Ab in case of Covid kits.
Is there any chance of false positive in RagT. Can RagT test detect another viral protein (non covid viral protein) as covid positive.
NICE VIDEO, IF YOU DONT MIND CAN YOU SHARE PAPER THAT EXPLAIN MORE ABOUT THIS, IT WILL BE VERY HELPFUL FOR MY STUDY
THANK YOU!!
Multiple sources referred.
Please can someone explain to me. O rh - blood group doesn’t have antigens, so will a test always be negative? Or am i going in completely the wrong direction, I’m just curious.
@Jackie. Its about corona virus antigens and not our blood group. Thanks for asking.
@@XploreBio thanks for making that clear for me. ❤️
U just made me happy.. Except pronunciation but it's ok,. CC is perfect too
Thanks for your genuine words.
@@XploreBio Also, can u tell me some of ur references? I really want to know.
especially that lfd images.. maybe ur website or so
Very. Informative video
In whole youtube every one upload how antigen detection kit work
No on explain how antibodies test work mechanism in hiv or ubsag
Hi, does this also apply to saliva test?
Many thanks for this information!👍🏼
Wonderful explanation. Keep it up 👍.
Sir mujhe meri test report dekhni h online kaha se dekhu 🙏🙏 tell me pls
Great informative vedio ...lots of appreciation
Thanks very much I'll learned about the tests of corona virus
Thank you, it was palatable.
I have an exposure to corona virus 3 days ago, antigen or rt pcr which should I test and when should I test, pls reply
RT PCR. Also consider symptoms and do not be affraid. believe in your immunity. Follow good diet. if symptoms are there and its moderate to severe consult doctor.
@@XploreBio should I test now ?
You should keep distance from others and follow proper heigene. You cna get tested after 2-3 days more in case you have no symptoms.
Sir you are the best 🙏

I have also same after Covishield vaccination.
You took antibody test after vaccination? Ab should be there if immunre resonse is there after vccination.
Sorry it was Antigen test.. I am positive right now with mild symptoms.. Still now day 4...
Same here, after my first dose of vaccine, I'm positive for Covid 😢
CT value... If t value is greater than c
Is it positive?
Reply ?
it does not give value but intensity of color. it may or may not be brighter than c line
@@XploreBio t is brighter than c.
Positive
Sir,My Antigen test shows positive but RT PCR results negative.so what can I do.
I think test needs to be redone.

Still treated as normal. But it should be clear. Just like in pregnancy kits.

positive
