Song begins 1:57. Simple 3-chord song executed perfectly: voice, arrangement, accompaniment, background vocal. Nailed it. Almost better than original. Best cover on YT.

I don't think Tex actively set out to copy Johnny, I think some genius worked out that Tex's voice is so close to The Man in Black's, it'd be madness NOT to make this happen. Oh, and it helps that Tex grew up listening to Mr Cash, in a time when it wasn't the "cool" thing to do. Love Tex, love Johnny, RIP JC.
