Hey, just wanted to say thank you for recommending such a great product. I managed to pickup an open box unit for less than $400 and couldn't be happier. Keep up the great work!
Could we see a budget speaker amp lineup from around £50 to whatever price your disposable income allows pls, and perhaps source them from amazon 5.1 channel amps under £200 or just the 2 channel amps from £50 would be great! If u have the time
I'm pairing the Ifi Neo with Focal Clears. Great sound, but I can't help thinking a little more power would be perfect. Any suggestions for a good amp match?
I personally do not have the disposable income to spend on this and will be looking at the video linked in the description. Nevertheless thanks for another detailed review
Glad you liked the video! Honestly, much like most audio products (specifically at the higher end), the difference in audio often doesn't translate to the price difference. There is a notable difference between the two DACs, that's for sure, but is it worth the price difference from the Zen - imo, no. Just depends on how much disposable income you have, how much you care about extracting the best audio from your source/outputting to your headphones and effectively how much you care about it all. If I had to switch from the Chord Hugo 2 to the Zen Dac, I'd be sad, but I'd equally be fine with it over time, knowing the price difference is literally 10-fold. Hope that helps :)
'budget' in the title, actually. Insinuating it's not quite a budget DAC, but when your see that I'm comparing it to a DAC that costs more than double, and the fact that audiophile (not regular consumer) DACs can be in the several thousands, it sits at a cheaper budget. But hey, whatever, best of luck!

Ah brilliant; and pleasure, glad you are enjoying it - and a great price that you got it at too :)

I've got the DAC roundup in the description, but won't be able to do receivers, as I've not reviewed enough of them

Not tried those headphones, so can't comment!
Excellent review, thanks for reviewing this as I am currently shopping in this price point and this is one of the items on my shortlist.
Pleasure, glad you liked the review!

Hi, nice video dude! quick question, I have the ifi zen dac, do you think is a HUGE difference compared to the neo iDSD? worth the upgrade? thanks.

@@TotallydubbedHD thanks for the quick response :). I have the b&w 606 s2 edition and audeze lcd-2 closed, but I not sure if the update worth it.
Again depends on your priorities etc. It's for you to decide!
Clickbait....A $700 dac is nowhere near "budget" smh

@@TotallydubbedHD Alright I see, you had us in the 1st round not gonna lie
@@obedboateng8392 well that's never the intention, sorry if you felt misled.
just wish it would come in black.
@@TotallydubbedHD i ordered the Zen Stream today
@@xstensl8823 very different product, fair enough!
@@TotallydubbedHD needed a streamer more than a DAC at the moment.
@@xstensl8823 fair enough! Enjoy :)
