Breaker bar and lug nut socket needs to be in every vehicle. Trying to use the junk set that comes from factory sucks from experience. If you have the room either a bottle jack or regular jack is time saving and usually more stable than factory jacks too.
Takes up a lot of room, but if you can squeeze in 1 backstage somewhere, it's a lifesaver safety item on a muddy or gravel shoulder while using a sketchy jack...
Blanket is indispensable!!! Xtra long jumper cables are handy because you'll always be in the furthest away configuration from the other vehicles battery in the parking lot...every time!!
“People aren’t driving around with chainsaws in their trucks” Ya. About that. With winter coming here in the North East I’ll keep mine in my truck and I’m far From the only one.
Yeah, you can’t have anything because of crooks. I was toying with the idea of bolting/ chaining down one of those medium-sized steel safes like Walmart sells, in back of my van. Throw in the wallet, camera, phones, wife’s purse, etc if we’re at the beach, camping , etc and don’t want to carry everything…
Thought for next year's list. Small electric chain saw. DeWalt, Makita, Harbor Freight etc. But coupled with the Uncharted jumpbox/battery pack to recharge. Not just 2 items but 2 items that work well together. Merry Christmas!
Nebo slim mini is perfect for an edc truck flashlight. It's rechargeable, bright, thin, and has a pocket clip. I bought 3 of them, don't sleep in these little guys.
Thank you so much for the kind words and featuring the Mini Trunk Duffle, Tool Bag, and Multipurpose Sit Pad!! Heads up about the duffle: check back weekly in the Tuff Possum Gear store if you want one. We will be restocking a different color nearly every weekend throughout December and January. Some classy limited runs coming!
For the price of that Demer box, JBL makes a sub that is also a detachable Bluetooth speaker. More for Jeep or 4Runners kind of big for a truck but still awesome.
For guys with trucks or other offroad vehicles I recommend a larger air compressor. Big tires take a lot of time to air up with a small compressor and then you have to worry about duty cycle of the small compressor. If you have a flat with a large tire it can burn up a real small compressor before the tire is aired up. Otherwise I can tell you that any compressor is very useful, for your vehicle and for vehicles of friends and coworkers. I've even rescued people at the mall with my compressor. Maybe a minor thing but I suggest a USB cable with multiple charging options. I have one I bought on ebay that has USB on one end and the other end splits into multiple cables that will fit iphone, microUSB and USB-C. That way you can recharge just about any portable device.
I use a gardening keeling pad I got like $5 from Walmart and it’s been awesome. I use it when I’m washing wheels mostly. it’s super nice to have and if I lose it I won’t be too upset 😅
Out of curiosity. Have you ever weighed all your EDC gear that you carry in your truck? It would be interesting to know how much extra weight you have on board. Great video BTW!
Man I don't know how I missed this when it was put out this year! I'm just going to blame it on OT for Christmas. I always look forward to your videos especially this one every year. What turned into my truck knife is the Benchmade Adamas folder. That thing is honestly kind of a pain to carry everyday. And my truck gift I'll mention to you which for me has turned out to be pretty bad a☆☆ is the Rough Country truck bed storage box. That thing is so sweet when I'd have groceries or whatever id fold up the back seat and use the hooks, not since I've gotten that and it comes out pretty easy when you need the whole bed. Update: New add I just received the Tuff Possum tool pouch you showed. Pretty awesome, that handle is what did it for me, all they had left were the camo ones, that's ok though just to carry tools in the truck.
I like the idea of the 2 in 1 air and jump but I'm so bad at keeping things charged. I keep separate air and jump boxes so I can charge the dead one with the live one if I have to.
I would like to recommend the brand Step 22 if you are looking to outfit your vehicle. They make a really nice duffel bag to put all of your large miscellaneous items. They seem like a hidden gem.
I agree on rechargeable. I’ve got so many power banks. Rather than diff battery sizes, one powerbank for many items. For flashlight, many take either of course. Old style Batteries are on the way out.
Most rechargeable flashlights still have a replaceable battery and spares are readily available so I always encourage people to pick up a spare battery and you can swap them out just like a non-rechargeable
Jayberry's family is full of the nicest people who would give you the shirts off their backs. Truly incredible family and I will support them as much as I can for it. I get nothing by mentioning them -- no payments, no affiliates, etc. Just good people who make good products.
Hatchet, breaker bar w/at least your vehicles lug nut socket, rubber gloves…….i do carry a chainsaw, they make them small enough now dewalt/Milwaukee or even cheap Amazon brand
It's cold and I grabbed my rechargeable truck flashlight and the battery was dead. That flashlight has never been used and that rechargeable battery drained. An AA won't drain, it would corrode, but not in 60 days.
Quick tip, if you have FSA money left at the end of the year, you can use it to buy First Aid equipment. I used FSA for kits for my truck, Bronco & wife’s car. Gave First Aid kits,to both my daughters too for their houses and cars.
My truck came with a single lid tool box mounted to the front of the bed. It secures most of the items needed for break downs, to get unstuck, all the way to a get home bag.
If you are on a budget, check out the wood and steel Cold Steel shovel. These titanium shovels are painstakingly handmade by one guy in a shop here in the USA. Doing titanium work that complex in the USA takes a lot of time, labor, and materials cost.
I have one. It’s great! It’s sharp on the edges and actually makes a great farmer’s tomahawk. Good for chopping and has a cover. I think it was about $25 on sale.

@matthewshannon6946 a backstage? Not familiar here. What is this you speak of?

From the only one.
Live in the Appalachian mountains and a chainsaw is a great thing to have in the winter time!! Have had to use to unblock road way more than once!!
me to I drive my truck with a chainsaw with extra chain gas bar oil too
For the blankets.. I love the 5 star gear.. warm n dry blanket! Can’t explain how awesome it is!
I’m scared to leave much in my car. My old car got broken into and they took my cooler, leatherman, and tools.
Yeah, you can’t have anything because of crooks.

There’s some pretty cool lock boxes that can be installed under your seats.
NOT THE LEATHERMAN!!!! NOOOOO!!
Ugh I’m sorry to hear that 😢
Trevor got you

Best bang for your buck IMO is the USMC Ka-bar 10:53
Great recommendations, I personally have most of these things already. That shovel though, that’s another level. I love it!!
Yup! Couldn’t agree more. I have all of those items, in one way or another, except the kneeling pad/ground cloth.

Add a collapsible shovel, or just a little shovel in case. Goes without saying dudes wipes.
Ok, you added the shovel
I don’t own a truck but most of these would be great for a car in general. Awesome job guys! 😊
Forget presents for the husband….I want these things!!!!!😂😂😂😂
Hell yeah 🤘🏻

Great video thanks! Do know if there is a leatherman Arc sheath an available in leather?
It amazes me that so many people don’t have the basic equipment in their vehicles. Like portable air inflators, jump starter, flashlight, multi tool
I have been someone to do a gift guide that was vehicle related. Thanks for giving me some ideas for outfitting my Ford Bronco.
Corona folding saw! And the Glock shovel! And a Cold Steel SRK or Recon Tanto!
I actually drive around with two chainsaws a shovel and what’s in my pocket. 😂
The olight seeker 4 is a great truck flashing. It is crazy bright and you can mount it in your truck in a charging holster.
Yeah, that’s what I've used in the past. I just found that I prefer something with a tail switch more often than not
That’s it’s one thing it’s missing for sure
Very nice list. Only one thing... need a truck :) Still hoping for a CyberTruck to show up...just because. Thx for sharing.
I would like to recommend the brand Step 22 if you are looking to outfit your vehicle. They make a really nice duffel bag to put all of your large miscellaneous items. They seem like a hidden gem.
I have some Step22 gear and really like it!
My truck is small and leaks oil again from the rear main seal thanks for the video and links

How’d you end up securing the tuff possum pouch to the LT5?
I haven't done a damn thing yet. That'll have to be a post-Holidays rush project

What's the name of the Brown truck duffle?
Looking forward to raptor content
I want to know what is that Flannel :D
It's from Huckberry prf.hn/l/bxYAZ3G/
Who makes that duffle bag on the right in the video? The brown one with the nylon straps.
Garage Built Gear
the GBG duffel is goated
So funny to me how he says “stranded on the side of the road” with a ford behind him😂
I've been stranded in a Ford, GMC, Subaru, Toyota…
Love the video… commenting for the algorithm
Hell yeah brother
What jacket is that in the car?
Also, having an A2 blade? How much time before you think that things rusts.
It's cerakoted, so not until you wear that off. And not at all if you take care of it with a little maintenance…
Crazy start 😆
When did you get a raptor ?
You need the jump pack cause it’s a ford haha but actually good video
Decathalon stool from walmart. $10
Now you need a tool box to keep all that crap in… 😂
People would 💩if they saw what I have in the back of my Jeep Wrangler😂
I drive around with a chainsaw in my truck😂
Me too!
I thought you were gonna include a way to remedy a broken window

Heck of an intro!😂
You sound like you know what I'm talking about…
I told you that in confidence…😧
@EDCNC-YT, it's obvious, no need to hide it 😅
I live in europe and dont own a car. Still watching this for some reason
I drive a Subaru Outback, super bummed I can't use ANY OF THIS TRUCK STUFF.
It’s okay. You can still do truck stuff with an Outback
Outback gang 💪
lol 😂
@ hell yes! 🙌

It’s ok 🌈🌈🌈🌈

Cool. So you have 150k truck with over 5k in tools laying around in to that you will never use. The privileged!
Some ok tools in there tho
Literally everything in the video is brand new, never been used. Maybe even the truck.
Am I the only one who’s distracted by his smoked alignment on his truck? 😅
You mean my turned wheels?
Underprepared? Nonsense!
You said “comprehensive” a lot
What a great list and thank you so much for sharing our PNWBUSHCRAFT groundcloth/hammock chair.
Sorry, when did Taylor get a real truck?
I think about 6 months ago or so? He's got a few vids with this truck
I also have several trucks lol
@@BestDamnEDC we need that mini back up and running, bucko
@@BestDamnEDC lol, all in good fun, it was better than asking when the next episode of whiskey knife fight was coming out.
So you really use those tools??? Or is it just something you got from sponsors and talk about.
If I didn’t want to be stranded on the side of the road I’d buy a Chevy not a ford
I have both. They’ve both given issues. Blind brand loyalty is the problem
@ definitely, I just like to joke with ford guys. But as long as you change the fluids and plugs everything regularly then it’ll last
None of his equipment has been used...
