I'll add it to the list of things to do in that case. I've actually found that for a 3D scan a combination of the normal cleanup methods but also using some of the sculpt tools really handy.

Just got a POP3 this week. I too would LOVE seeing a/several mesh cleanup videos. Also would be interested in POP3 workflow/tips videos.

Great review, I am curious to know what the smallest object would be that could be scanned. An example would be a miniature bit like an icon from a shoulder pad - without the pad.

So that wouldn't work well on the Pop3 as it's not the size it's designed for. The mini might handle the basic shape but you'd need to go back in and fix the details. If you want something that should be able to handle it you might want the openscan mini. I'm just a bit reticent to try it as it's about $350 to buy plus postage and while I have seen some great results from it I have heard of people finding it hard to set up and get as good results....
