Thank you for videos. Great job. I use this same method for my extra view and my decoders were working fine until my subscription got finished last month. I paid last Friday to reactivate my subscription but it's just my primary decoder that's working even though the DStv app shows they're both active. The secondary decoder is displaying an E-16 error though a reset has been done several times. The Tuner 2 status of the secondary decoder don't give any signal except for the tuner 1. Could this be the reason the channels aren't working and if not what could it be?
Check if Channel 100 (DISH) is working.
If you are using Smart LNB check the index frequencies.
E16 errors can only be clear by calling Dstv office ruclips.net/video/7Rwncma8HnQ/видео.html or using the USSD codes.

@@pbtecknology The Channel 100 works and I don't use the Smart LNB. I use thé dual LNB. I called them to do a reset but still it's not working. Please I want to know if my Tuner 2 signal must necessarily show
Using a Universal Dual LNB you don't need additional settings.
If channel 100 is working and your heartbeat cable is well connected, call them once again. Make sure to get a Man on the phone from Dstv office. Don't trust a female worker.

Bros prince I tried this teaching yesterday but I kept getting E 143 even after calling customer care on the secondary decoder so I made a call across to a colleague and he said I shud change the the cable from d dish to d sat port and take the decoder cable to the other port

Please what type of combiner did you use? Is it normal diseqc switch or just an RF splitter?
will have any problem with polarity ? is the first or second receiver being the main receiver?
for example.. the first receiver plays OK but the second can not receive the Vetical signal...

Pls check this, for the diplexer you connect SAT to decoder while I/O to lnb, but on calling multichoice they said i did it wrong its SAT to lnb and I/O to decoder but the ANT to ANT remains thesame for the heartbeat signal

Hello prince, can you all this connection ie combiners outside the house example a balcony then then send the respective wire to the decoders.
Provided every cable is at the right port and in the Dstv required Connection range for extraview Installation.
@@pbtecknology it's not more than 30 meters. Actually , after calling DStv , it's started showing then break off completely. I have to put another call , then it will show again then break off completely. Still getting E143

It will depends on the LNB port that's being connected to. If it's connected to a smart LNB Unicable port, you have to change the LNB type to Unicable TM/SATcr. Same applies to the Universal port or a dual LNB.

You have to change the single universal LNB to that of either DStv Smart LNB or Dual LNB plus 2 diplexers if it's 2 zapper HD Decoders
So please if u re installing one Dstv What will u do for that part after u HV done about signal settings n come to the satellite n the country

If you're pairing 2 DSTV zapper HD Decoders + a dual LNB, after scanning for the channels on each decoder, just call DStv office with the IUC number of the Decoders and indicate the Primary and Secondary to them. They will do the Activation for you

It's best to use either DStv smart LNB or Dual LNB with diplexer. I have not tried that yet. But most strategies that you may think of doesn't work bro ❤️

@@pbteckgh Thank you bro for the quick response. I have this work at hand where i will need to connect one if the extra view decoder to two tvs . I have a modulator , Can I use a two way splitter to split the signal using the RF out cable from the modulator ?
It's advisable to use HDMI splitter or AV splitter to each TV, that will give you quality images. And Note , most Dstv Decoders have No RF Out Port. If all the Two TV's are Plasma, buy HDMI splitter. You can get some from online shops but the AV splitter is available in most of the local electronics shops. ❤️

You have to understand that the secondary get a heartbeat signal from the primary. Meaning when the primary is off there's no pairing of heartbeat signal. But the secondary can be off and the primary will be working... Maybe there must be a decoder type and installation type that works that way, am yet to know...... I will try and get an answer and let you know bro....

How to activate extraview after I have done all the wireless connection/installation??
Any extra view installation, after doing your part with the settings and connections, you need to call Dstv office for the extra view activation.
If i have a 4s and 6s decoder with twin lnb and 1 diplexer how do i connect,help me now plz
Get a stable signal on both with the diplexer being connected, scan the Decoders and call DStv office for activation. Let the 6s become the primary decoder

I’m using the smart LNB but is still saying the is no communication from the primary decoder
Check your cable connections well, be mindful of the distance between the two Decoders. Not exceeding 30meters.
* Call DStv office to pair the two Decoders.
Most often the problem might be from the office.

DStv limit the distance between the two Decoders, so make sure is not out of the extra view range.

7m for other Extraview capable Decoders.

Just make sure all your coaxial cables are well fixed. And check your heatbeat cable as well. After that the rest is in the hands of Dstv. You need to call Dstv officials for the extraview connection.

Ignore the RF out, just do the normal diplexer connection and call Dstv to send the heartbeat signal

You have 2 Decoders, and the concept is to pair the 2 decoders to get heartbeat signal through the usage of diplexer. Every diplexer have two ports, ( antenna & Satellite) and the receiving port . With this setup you'll need a dual LNB.
* Connect two separate cables from the dual LNB unto the receiving ports of the primary and secondary diplexers.
The next step is to connect cables from the Satellite side of the diplexers unto each decoder respectively. After getting the signal quality on each decoder, the next thing is to connect the heartbeat cable.
* Connect a cable from the primary diplexer antenna port unto the secondary diplexer antenna port.

No communication from primary decoder. If the primary decoder has video and audio, check the cabling between the decoders. If this error message cannot be cleared, call a multi Choice accredited installer for assistance.

It's simple, the method that can be used will depend on the type of Installation. If they want to change channels in every room, meaning there have to be a Decoder in every room. Let me know what they're requesting for.
i did the same but my secondary decoder cannot communicate with the primary so the pictures are not showing on the secondary decoder though the channels are there but no pictures
Check the cabling carefully and call DStv office once again for the activation

You should delete this video it's misleading
The two cables from the lnb should be connected to the sat port of the diaplexers and not the i/o port. The i/o port goes to the back of the decoder

You can get some in any DStv office or dealer. It's not available in local areas, because they don't normally use Dstv Explora. You can also place an order in any online shops that have it. (Jumia).
