I hope you bought this nice cop lunch or something at least . I think he did a lot to help you out. He was being really cool especially since it was on his lunch break. Good video. As always
Alot of these are sold to dealers, went to a utility auction, for a truck ,put in at least 10 bids, some more than mkt.price never heard anything,I think dealers get preferential treatment.and buy them in lots.
I bought my first car at an auction. The auctioneer said that each and every vehicle comes with an "Oklahoma warranty" That is, if you are driving through Oklahoma and your vehicle falls apart and breaks in half, both halves belong to you. I'll never forget that. I bought a van in GA at an auction when my car got stolen and kept it for many years. I even got the maintenance records from the fire dept. it came from. It had a huge class ring in it when I cleaned it out. Never found the owner.
Dan I have a question that I am hoping you or someone can comment the answer. I have a 1998 Grand Cherokee Laredo. I am looking for a replacement weatherstrip that goes above the the doors starting at the bottom of the a-pillar up to the roof over the b-pillar and ends at the c-pillar. I had ordered a used one in the past, but cause I didn't know what its actual name is I ended up getting a door seal that wraps around the door that I had to get a refund on since it is not what I need. I herd there is a trick you can do, stuffing the old one with some foam silcone tubing, but how is not known to me cause i tried to and it just breaks after an you get it in so far in. Maybe this could be a future video idea.
I learned there are about 400 cars auctioned per year. Apparently, there are 2 Seizure auctions a year totaling approximately 200 "County seized" cars for DWI, Unlawful fleeing, reckless driving... The Drug cars are in the evidence auctions to include drugs, shootings, assaults, hit and runs... There are another 2 evidence auctions for the other 200 cars.
@@0004612 about 2500 cars are impounded a year.. most go back the the owners or the junyard. only a small percentage get auctioned. its really not that many considering there are over a million people that reside in this county
If you buy an abandoned vehicle with a lien at auction and register it, the bank now has a new person to contact to get money from.. banks will usually let you keep the vehicle for a small fee. this way the banks can still collect something and you still get to keep your vehicle. Its standard practice.
I wish you the best of luck !!!
Thank you!
