I ordered an old (but not so) CPU in Ebay because I have in mind built a decent and nostalgic rig. The CPU is a K-6 II 475 MHz, and my idea is putting in some good socket 7 motherboard, maybe 512 (256*2 slots) MB of RAM, some decent AGP video card, and Windows 2000... Just a delicatessen.

I would never try anything like this myself. My soldering skills cannot even be called "skills"
I do have two Socket 3 split voltage CPUs myself, a Pentium 83 Overdrive and an AMD 5x86 PR75 (133 Mhz) but they both have onboard voltage regulators.
Nice job keeping the board alive!

as this topic interest you, I have two follow up videos: 1) the final SMD resistor: ruclips.net/video/8oJJoBXiQ9k/видео.html and actually booting latest t2(sde) Linux on it: ruclips.net/video/KAYgCE0wFE4/видео.html

Can I ask where you bought the new voltage regulator or regulators. I would like to buy some to upgrade the one on my Tyan Tomcat III MB (4.02 bios upgrade) to be able to install Two Pentium 233MMX cpus with out destroying the current voltage regulator. I hope you can help. Thanks and great video
