abadplanner1 Thank you for your view and comment. Just to put the record straight these chickens are from a rescue centre not a farm.This centre saves the chickens lives and then re homes them to people who want to have a bit of free range chickens and eggs.

once hens reach about 18 months the farms replace them anyway. if they're not rehomed they go to be pet food or fertilizer.
