Wow just wow that diner necklace was mouth watering beautiful so many pretty pieces of jewelry I don’t know if I would be able to part with something like that if I ever came across one 🥰
I am a big fan of The Nurse Flipper Channel. I downloaded this video to use it as a reference to what to look for when buying Jewelries in Bulk. Thank you Kat.
It was really awesome finally getting to meet you n dalton in las vegas! What a cutie pie! Anyway finally back in the group and eager to beginning the learning once again❤
I have been watching you for quite some time.. I am So glad You help us so much..I keep getting jewelry to sell.. when I’m well, then my kidneys take over.. My husband of would be October 11th our 19th Anniversary and it was 4 months since he’s been gone.. What I’m learning I seriously must retain what I hear..Again Thank you for All you do for us.. Beyond words..❣️😢🙏🙏🙏🤟🕊
I live your channel & the pieces you brought up. I was going through my gold jewelry & cam across my gecko 🦎 in 14k gold from 40 years ago which my Dad bought me & I never took it off during college (trip in tropical places & geckos 🦎
I found a beautiful VanDell necklace at my local thrift store this morning, I did some research and afterwards because I have never heard of brand, apparently it isn't worth a great deal of money but just learning as we go is so fascinating to me,God Bless!!!
Just found you on RUclips. We just subscribed. We have tons of the vintage stuff you are profiling. Where does most of this vintage sell? eBay, auctions or other?
Pet peeve...I wish sellers would take a moment and clean their displays before snapping pics...it only takes a second with a sticky roller...who wants to see dog hair and lint?
The beads are amber true amber is fossilized tree resin that was exuded from bark millions of years ago there is a lot of high quality amber that comes out of the Baltic countries ..those beads were opaque butterscotch colored but it can come in alot of colors and can be transparent. I find it easier to identify genuine opaque beads like the ones she showed versus the transparent beads but have been getting better at picking up different varieties...get a cheap black light and look up the reactions to look for ...plastics and dyes can react to the UV but I find it to be a helpful tool in identifying certain beads especially amber
When checking with simichrom just be sure to clean off piece first , you can get yellowing result just from dirt or smoke. I also found just baking soda mixed with just a tad bit of water to form a paste works too. I heard of 409 too but never tried it. Great video, you know I love your jewelry ones. I learned about Rebecca Collins today thank you, I have a non silver piece that I'm going to look further into.
Hi Kat, Great video!!! I'm curious where you found your Christian Dior Necklaces etc... I found some Christian Dior Scarfs once at a thrift store, they were in a bag full of scarfs and I purchased the whole bag full , mostly brand names. Thanks for all the great info, hope you feel better soon.
"Pools of light" refers to rock crystal beads, not glass. Hopefully the seller knew this and represented the item accurately, which might explain the high selling price 😊
I'm pretty sure the crystal necklace is not glass, but rock crystal (clear quartz). Thus, the price. I've recently found four pieces that looked like glass but were, indeed, rock crystal. The price is many times higher than glass crystal.
One way to tell quartz orbs is to look into them and everything becomes inverted .Glass will not. Also make sure the orbs are not pierced ,that would not hold the Chi in. Originally made in China during the Deco era and later they are Czech made, the Oriental ones being more valuable. The Czech ones are marked on the clasp.
Rock crystal also tests as quartz on the Presidium. I've started testing any pieces that look like crystal. I just found a huge necklace and matching bracelet (almost a pound in weight total) for $15 at a church sale that turned out to be rock crystal. Not these gorgeous orbs, unfortunately, but a nice find.
I like head mannequin you get a reference what it looks like on a human. Laying on a table does not say what it will look like on a fat neck or skinny neck same with finger or wrist.
I think I just got my questions answered, sad,y we don’t get to learn where these pieces were purchased and what was paid for them. Itnis entertaining t9 learn that vintage pieces can sell for so much I think Itnis unlikely a person would find these at Good Will,
I love your research videos, but the average Joe doesn’t come across the price range you review. Would there be any chance of you doing $100 and up. Even after your generosity I wouldn’t know, remember to know, a $500 and up piece of jewelry if it bit me in the tail end. If they were more likely to be found in the wild they would be worth knowing about. Maybe it is for those who do hauls, but I think in general that your videos reach people who shop one by one at estate sales. Like I said, I love your videos, but they just don’t pertain to me. God Bless and keep the good work coming!
Correct but if you remember the name of all the brands they all have lower priced more common pieces that you will find more frequently. When you get down to $100 or so there are thousands so very difficult to pick out twenty but I'll play around with the idea and see if I can come up with something!

Hey Lady! Amber Baltic...wha5 is the beads? Glass, wood, ??? I've never seen before. Just beautiful!!

Rock crystal is very cold to the touch FYI
Good to know thank you

Those pools of light are not GLASS !!! As you referred ! but rock Quartz crystal !!!!’
Is there a easy way to tell the difference

Online estate lots
Rest relax feel better
That's the plan!
"Pools of light" refers to rock crystal beads, not glass. Hopefully the seller knew this and represented the item accurately, which might explain the high selling price 😊
I got a pair of huge amber antique clip-ones in a blue box, I am going to sell. Also a pair of Gucci coin earrings and a coral silver ring.
I'm pretty sure the crystal necklace is not glass, but rock crystal (clear quartz). Thus, the price. I've recently found four pieces that looked like glass but were, indeed, rock crystal. The price is many times higher than glass crystal.
it is rock crystal, those are beautiful and rare to find out in the wild!

Great video,On the bakerlite necklaces what would they string the beads with wire rubber or what to look for.
I've seen them on pretty much everything, even unstrung beads sell!
Hi Kat, just started following you. I'm out of work currently so I'm going to follow your advice and give this a shot, what's to loose?
You got this!
😊
I would be very nervous auctioning a piece and starting it at $.99! I wonder if that 18 karat smoking pig necklace had a minimum reserve on it.
It didn't have a reserve
I found a beautiful crown tarfiri brouch beautiful condition with flax pearls gold tone, that I was wanting to sell, but not sure where to start
I would list on eBay
How can that dark brown opaque bead be amber?
I like head mannequin you get a reference what it looks like on a human. Laying on a table does not say what it will look like on a fat neck or skinny neck same with finger or wrist.
Yeah
I thought that Pools of light were made of Rock Crystal Quartz.
Yes they are
Can u tell me where to find Juliana description if they’re not marked? Or where I can find video?
I don't have any I recommend, but if you search youtube I'm sure there are tons and there are also good books be prepared to learn A LOT it isn't easy
You referenced a video you put out regarding identification without markings in this video or did I hear you wrong?
@@lorrieklaserner3176 I said I'm not the one to teach those as I don't have the knowledge, if you search RUclips I'm sure there are tons
😊🥰
Sterling is .925. Peruvian is .950 Mexican .970 is darn near pure and probably very malleable.
Good to know thank you
What platform(s) were these sales on?
All ebay
I think I just got my questions answered, sad,y we don’t get to learn where these pieces were purchased and what was paid for them. Itnis entertaining t9 learn that vintage pieces can sell for so much I think Itnis unlikely a person would find these at Good Will,
It happens but more likely to find at estate sales
Is Juliana D&E the same as Juliana?
Yes
@@TheNurseFlipperHank you ❤
What am I missing? I don't see any jewelry on Ebay worth anywhere near those prices.
Sort from highest to lowest, but this video is over a year old so Market could have changed
Do you read old video messages?
Yes
