In South Korea they always write their last name first. So for example: Bang Chan his last name is Bang (but it gets complicates sometimes since he´s australian and his name is also Christopher thats why they wrote his name diffrently in this guide i think), Hwang Hyunjin his last name is Hwang etc. But they sometimes change their name or just uses a part of their name as their stage name for example: Lee Know real name Lee Minho or I.N whos name is Yang Jeongin just put a dot between his last two letters of his name JeongIN. Hope this helps with the confusion with their names :) And thank you for reacting to a stray kids guide!!

Seungmin is not just a fan, he has been playing baseball professionally since childhood but was unable to continue due to injury, and his grandfather is also a fairly famous baseball player in South Korea. Of the recent events, there is also no mention of Seungmin's modeling career or his collaborations with such fashion brands as Loewe and Harry Winston.
And this year Seungmin started hosting his own show on the official STRAY KIDS channel called "SONG BY" where he talks about his thoughts on music and sings the chosen song.

The reason why they have many leads off different things is because yes they are all rounders everyone can sing dance and rap but in skz they have three sub units 3racha - Han Changbin and Bangchan which are producers
DanceRacha - Lee know hyunjin and Felix which are main dancers or leads whichever and VocalRacha - seungmin and I.N
In skz they can do eveything and Han is the ace

But ACE is different, it is a special term in kpop (which there aren't many of) when there is a member that does extremely well in all aspects, and could even be mistaken for being the main singer, main dancer, or main rapper even of they aren't😊
STRAY KIDS was literally an experiment done by JYP! This was the first time EVER, that a trainee (Chan) was allowed to pick his own members & build the group from the ground up! He is beyond special at everything he does! He LOVES his kids SO much! We should all show great admiration for him & what he's done!!! They are truly a FAMILY!!! I think the way to see Han as the Ace is that he is phenomenal at everything. Most rappers can't sing well, but he excels at both. He is considered one of the top Aces in K-pop while the rest of Stray Kids are considered all rounders. They too can do everything, but Han is in a different league. My bias is Chris, but Han is so good at everything he keeps bias wrecking me. Great reaction, glad I found you. ❤
Ofc all of them can sing rap dance... I'd say all members are allrounder... But title THE ACE is already HAN nickname from predebut... The way he can handle the highest note vocal, the hardest rap, and difficult dance move, that's why he's called the ace by fans & all stray kids members... Plus he's one of main producer along w/ Bangchan & Changbin....

22:15 Chan,Changbin and Han are a sub unit called 3racha,the three of them write and produce their music so it’s not just one person doing the writing and the other producing although Han does more songwriting
about producing: Chan focuses more on making beats and arrangement than the other two, but the others also do that, just as Chan also writes lyrics. Like anyone has their strengths, Chan is particularly good in making beats and producing the music, but that doesn't mean he doesn't also do everything else well, and it also doesn't mean the others don't also produce music. 3RACHA in general is a producing unit and how heavy each one's input into each song varies a bit. They talk about it like "that's one of Changbin's/Han's/Chan's songs" etc., but they do really work together on most music.
It doesn't stop with 3RACHA as producers, though, Hyunjin has gotten a taste of songwriting/production as well and some songs in albums are written and produced by him, and all the Kids have copyrights to songs they (co-)wrote and/or produced by now. It's just that some have a heavier focus here or there. (But yes, everything goes through Bang Chan.)
About the main, lead, and sub position thing: Main and lead in kpop is not interchangeable. It's not an evaluation like "best dancer" but rather the *function* your position as a dancer has for the group (or other positions than dancing). Lead means that you're leading the rest of the team lmao, like Lee Know for dance. Main means more like your position catches the eye, it's often a core element in songs and performances, and it's your job to bring the center piece and energy.
As for Stray Kids, as you noticed, they can do everything and ALL give their all in performances, which is exactly the reason why SKZ don't have these official positions anymore. They're still used to introduce new fans to who each member is and where they come from, position-wise, but they don't adhere to it. That's the advantage of them producing their own music, they can adjust everything to everyone as they see fit.
The song with Seugmin and Han singing was an episode of Two kids show where they talk and then sing live. In this episode they sang Volcano and Hold on it was fantastic and so worth a watch. Thank you great reaction

lmao There can be several lead rappers and main rappers, same for all position but main and lead are not the same. Lead will be people that usually take that position in the production/performance. Main is the person that usually does it the most in each song. For example Hyunjin is a lead rapper so he will usually rap in songs and he is part of skz's rapline (Even tho everyone can rap). However Changbin will usually rap more than Hyuinjin on a track (longer rap verses) whole Hyunjin might alternate more with little singing parts or just have less lines.
When Suegmen was singing with that other guy, on the bench, he WAS shy & nervous! All the STRAY KIDS tend to look lost when they aren't with the other members 😢

Let me explain you how it works in other languages. Every song has a backstory and a meaning behind the lyrics that you write, that essence is what you want to bring to the audience. In other languages, we just make it rhyme with different words. So, I'm dutch, let me give you an example of a song called "Piece of my soul" which in dutch is called "Stukje van mij". The lyrics of that song in dutch are "Ik gaf je een stukje, een stukje van mij, je zou het bewaren maar raakte het kwijt" which translates to "I gave you a piece, a piece of me, you would keep it but lost it". But that doesn't work with the flow of the song and the rhyme scheme. What the artist did was add/change words with synonyms, then it became "I gave you a piece of, a piece of my soul
You said you would keep it, so where did it go?". The "but lost it" changed to "so where did it go", so the essence of not having the piece of the person "me" or "my soul" is what is kept troughout the different versions. I really like listening to songs that are able to do this and Stray Kids are a prime example of this as well.
I don't speak korean but I do speak Italian (my native language) and no, usually if you traslate something in another lenguage you can't do a rhyme "i have money on my head, I have money on my bed" in italian is "Ho dei soldi sulla mia testa, ho dei soldi sul mio letto" no rhyme.

In terms of positions in Kpop its Main>Lead>Position and then there is Sub. Positions are based on technique and experience, the sub postion is a bit harder for me to explain and tbh i don't have a full understanding of it, you can have multiple people in 1 position but there is normally less as the rankings get higher. Also, lots of new kpop groups including Stray kids, don't really use positions anymore so it's honestly not something you really have to keep 100% track of. Most groups nowadays just have "Leader" and that's it which I like because it doesn't limit artists and they get to branch out so we see more diversity.

i'm pretty sure Han and Changbin have the same face shape, so that is probably why you are getting them mixed up sometimes. something that might help you differentiate between them is that Han has slightly fuller/chubbier cheeks.

OST stands for 'Original Soundtrack', most popular for Kdramas. They can either be solos or duets with other artists! Also, as far as the positions of 'Main dancer', 'Lead vocalist' etc., StrayKids don't really box any of their members into any specific role anymore given that, just like you said, they are all aces and can do everything well. Some members are more trained/comfortable in some roles which is why the group is divided into your 3 sub-units (3Racha - Bangchan, Changbin, Han; Danceracha - Lee Know, Felix, Hyunjin; Vocalracha - Seungmin, IN) but the point is that they aren't confined to those areas and you often will see these 'roles' bleed into each other because, again, all members can do everything. :)
A lot of people mix up the members when they are getting into a new group, so don't worry. It's normally two members, so common mix ups are Han and Changbin, I used to mix up I.N and Lee Know a lot, others mix up Felix and Hyunjin.
Stray Kids (skz) don't have set roles like other groups, so that's why a lot of the roles will say main dancer or lead dancer, like you mentioned they are all all-rounders so can do everything so they don't really fit the standard roles, I agree they are all exceptional dancers, singers, rappers and performers, so they are split mostly by:
3RACHA (producing), Bang Chan, Changbin and Han
VocalRACHA (singing), Seungmin and I.N
and DanceRACHA (dance group) Lee Know, Hyunjin & Felix
The introverts of stray kids are Lee know,Hyunjin,Han,Seungmin,I.N.
Main Rapper: carries the bulk of rap verses and coaches other members on flow/delivery in their rap lines (Han & Changbin)
Lead Rapper: Leads into the song with rap, typically a bridge but can be the hook as well
Main Dancer: Dancer who leads dance practices and coaches weaker dancers on choreo, may also make changes to choreo or create choreo for the group (Minho)
Lead Dancer: a dancer who is proficient or talented in dance but does not have responsibilities like the main dancer (Hyunjin)
Center: a member who takes center stage often, typically the visual (most good looking member) as well (Hyunjin)
Also for reference: Channie produces the music or track, Jisung is usually a lyricist but can also produce the music. Changbin does both as well.

This video is really unhelpful. It's so biased, all the stuff about the members positions is just the creator's opinion, with cherry picked clips to prove their point. And they're clearly a Hyunjin stan.
It was funny watching them claim Hyunjin is the visual after we all saw the Spotify live where we established that's Changbin. And say he's the centre because he's usually dancing in the middle, with all the clips of the other members dancing in the centre for their parts 😂
There aren't lots of different leads, the creator just doesn't understand the units.
And that's not what ace means. All the members can do everything, which makes them all-rounders. Han isn't necessary better at everything, he's the ace because he's really good at everything, whereas the others aren't as strong in some areas as others.

Some of the info on the guides wrong. 3racha (Bang Chan, Han & Changbin) all produce and write their songs. Bang Chan does take a lead in arranging the music and producing but they all do it. Stray Kids don't really use titles anymore such as dance leader, main rapper etc because they all sing and rap at this point. Some are more focused on certain roles ie. Danceracha Hyunjin, Felix and Lee Know. VocalRacha Seungmin and I.N. They all have roles they excel at but honestly they do it all. They are all rounders but Han is an ACE sings like a main vocalist, raps flow and delivery is top tier and can dance amazingly well and MOST importantly he has written and produced over 100 songs.
Hyunjin has even produced a song with the help of 3racha. ALL the members have written songs for the group as well as their own solo songs.

The reason why Han is considered to be the ACE is because he excels in all positions above average. He also produces, writes and composes (I don't know why they didn't add that in the video since it's quite known that hanpop is mainly done by him). Han has traits, such as being the group's comedian and being excellent in freestyle rapping.
When it comes to vocals, Han has been amazing since debut. He used to take upon many vocal parts after their main vocalist left the group and now he has advanced even further into rock genres for example.

Im not sure if you know yet but in Korean, your last name comes first, then your first name. So 'Kim Seungmin' is actually 'Seungmin Kim' in English
11:00 naw I get it. When I first got into straykids I would mix Changbin and Han up all the time since they both rap more then the others and look somewhat similar in face shape. After a week or 2 I no longer mixed them up and Han even became my bias.

I also think they are all aces
without trying to be a know it all, they are all-rounders but not aces. An ace excels at everything and could be mistaken as a main in everything. Seungmin can rap his ahh off but he definitely struggles in that area. Han sings side to side with Seungmin easily (even tho Seungmin's technique is better) and raps side to side with Changbin (even tho Binnie has a better grasp of the discipline). He also can sit at the same table as Hyunjin in terms of stage presence (Even if Hyunjin tends to be more solid at it)

Main means that they are the top/main of that position, there are usually only 1 main producer, dancer, vocalist, rapper. Lead is the next level under main, and sub is after that. For example, Lee Know is the main dancer, lead vocalist and sub rapper- he does all these things but he is best at dancing then singing then rapping. Hyunjin is primarily a dancer, but there is only 1 main dancer, so he is a lead dancer, he raps second most often so he is a lead rapper and a sub vocalist as he does this least often.
Both han and changbin are main rappers, the same way both hyunjin and minho är main dancers. No need to spread misinformation
I think there's plenty of groups with multiple mains, it used to be uncommon but it's really not anymore. But I also really liked your way of explaining the order of the positions.

So.... Weird way to look at it, but might help you understand the different position titles:
Think of the group like a business.
Chan is the Manager.
Changbin and Han are the supervisors (because they help write the songs and help produce)
If they are labeled as a 'main ___'
they are similar to a 'shift lead'. They are considered... Not BETTER ... But more like given responsibility to oversee and be in charge of that aspect.
People who are 'Lead ____" are the people assigned to be on that' team'.
When they debuted they all have officially assigned roles (as most groups do in Korea) but as time has gone on they have gotten rid of official positions, because they all do a bit of everything now.

Rap Line:
Main Rappers-- Changbin and Han
Lead Rappers - Chan, Hyunjin... And i think Fix was considered part Of it at one point?

35:44 Korean writing works on syllables, and names typically have 2 or 3, one for the surname and 1 or 2 for the given name (there's 4 syllables names but they're uncommon), I.N's name is Yang Jeong In, Yang being his surname and Jeong In his given name, his stage name I.N is just the last syllabus of his name stylized with a dot in between.
Other examples of kpop idols with this stage name type would be D.O (real name Do Kyung Soo) from EXO or I.M (real name Im Chang Kyun) from Monsta X.
37:16 Trot music is an older style of Korean music that has a very recognizable way of singing to it, it's not as popular with younger generations so other people find it curious that someone as young as I.N is so into it.
And lastly for maknaes, the kpop industry typically has very young trainees, they join companies very early (typically 10-17 yrs old, tho there can be older trainees as well) and Koreans usually uphold a hierarchy based on age, so it's common that idol groups maknaes have known their members since their teens or earlier and they develop and affectionate bond where they dote on their youngest and make sure they're doing well despite the harsh training and strict rules, this continues after debut and then it's just habit, some 3rd Gen groups maknaes are turning 30 this years and you can still see their hyungs (word for older brothers) doing things for them and being affectionate.
I recently saw a video of Jae Suk (a very popular TV host and comedian in Korea) having a meal with some colleagues that he's familiar with through years of working in entertainment together, and he was the youngest of the group so despite being in his 50s the hyungs still teased him and the noonas (older sisters) still dotted on him urging him to eat more bc he was too skinny and stuff.

I think how they get more than one lead dancer, or rapper is because of the sub groups. There are 3 main sub groups in Stray Kids. 3Racha is the producing sub group and sort of the rapline as well. It includes Chris, Changbin and Han. So they are all lead producers as the others guys are not. DanceRacha is another subgroup that consists of Lee Know, Hyunjin and Felix...they are considered main dancers, the others are not. VocalRacha is Seungmin and I.N, they are considered lead Vocalists, the others are not. They all can dance, sing, rap etc... but there are ones that are considered the main ones. The only change has been Hyunjin, Chris used to be a main rapper originally. Now he is a sub rapper with Hyunjin taking over main rapper title now.
OST means Original Sound Track and refers to a song off a kdrama or movie. Seungmin has been the lead singer for kdrama songs, but Stray Kids has done OST's for anime as well.
Here is the link to the song that you said you liked and wanted to know what it was. It was a song Han wrote for Seungmin about the death of a pet. They both sung it together on 2 kids show. Yes to guinea pigs!! I'm definitely a cat person but wasn't for the first 25 years of my life (until I actually got a kitten and raised it myself). Now I am totally converted xD
