Adam was, and still is, sooo original!! I think all of us girlies had an instant crush on him, the minute we saw that Stand and Deliver video!!! 😂 I know I did!! 😍😍😍🫠🫠 I'm so glad he's still doing what he loves. Apparently he's in Glasgow this November, but i can't get there 😢
So good hearing them live. They were a really excellent live band. And the sound was so superb individually. It's a shame they had to be dubbed and mine on various TV shows like top of the Pops, because they clearly play & perform on top form and tight here with pure enthusiasm and enjoyment.

Ive always liked this live version the best but i had the vinyl of this album and remember there being a Hawaiian style instrumental outtake of this at the very end that i liked. Found it by accident one day. It wasnt listed just added in.
He was insanely gorgeous and the double belts around those hips! No-one else can move like he could and delight so many women! (He should have left his hair alone he was already perfect!)

Such a shame Adam will not perform or record with Marco again. From what I have read Marco never did much apart from mention about Adam's bi-polar disorder which was common knowledge anyway.
Gary Tibbs does them. If you look closely, you'll see he has a microphone in front of him and he is actually singing! Check out the rest of the concert, he does backing vocals quite a bit.
Always wondered that too. I know Gary and Terry did some but on some of these songs there's multiple backing vocals going on. Could be like some bands do and have backing singers off stage. Would be better if you could see them so don't look funny.
I've nothing against Gary Tibbs but his arrival in A&TA seemed to coincide with the moment when I had to pack in with the band. They just went way too pop to be listened to by a serious post-punker like my way back then self. I loved the Do It singles Cartrouble and Physical and the Dirk album and the Kings album but for me Stand And Deliver had to be my parting point. Music was important back then and in a way I felt let down by Adams lurch into popdom but then again it was his band and they had a good run all the same.
