    It's not until recently did I realize how Eddies picking hand was just a jack hammer and made such a huge part of his sound as well, I watched a video ofhim playing unplugged at Jason Beckers house and the attack on the strings occurred to me, just how hard and accurate he was, just like this riff it improves so much that he was behind it, a simple riff that just pops through your speakers just because he was EVH, this is another one that I can't get enough of lately, since he is gone, whenever I miss him I just push play and thank my lucky stars I walked the earth at the same time as Van Halen...

    My favourite VH track. Love the tone in this, particularly the short solo tapping run after the shine-on chorus. I remember this song video playing on the big screen in Heathrow airport when I went on holiday back in 1996, my friend who wasn't a rock fan saying "jeez that guy can play a bit"
    Great memories. Thanks for bringing this song back uncle B.

  • @KingBeevr
    @KingBeevr 4 года назад +12

    Honestly, one of my favorite VH songs. Top 10, maybe even top 5. Pay no attention to me though, I'm one of the few people who think VH was a better band with Sammy. The music was just better. But VH w/ Dave is just iconic as hell. FWIW, Ain't Talkin' Bout Love is my fave.

    • @baybae92
      @baybae92 4 года назад +3

      I feel the same. I prefer the Sammy years, but I have major love for Dave and hate when people shit on his era for no real reason.

    • @maskman8712
      @maskman8712 2 года назад +1

      Oh they were a better band! Always thought they were better with Sammy. The music was more "mature" if that makes sense. DLR was iconic and so is VH with him, but sammy actually can play guitar decent, sings waaay better. Hell yeah! This song is one of my fave VH tunes too!

    RIP EVH - this a stellar tune and angry AF , the outro solo should have played on .. n on n on .... the nod to don’t stop believin in the second line of chorus is cool too .... whist quintessential VH was DLR. This is up there with the best irrespective ... been playing it solid for days

    The full version of this song always blows me away, that bend run he does that just builds and builds is just masterful! I will say that I got the best tone for the intro by backing off the volume to like 1-2 on the bridge, but that’s just my guitar setup
