Great interview! I'm still listening to the Winans' music to this day. Absolutely love each and every one of them, including Mom & Pop (RIP, Pop) Winans. Very anointed and holy family, leading by example with longevity. Shout out to Angie & Debbie Winans as well; still listening to their powerful CD on the regular.

I'm happy he did not dodge the question on Gospel music losing its meaning in today's world. A lot of Pastors are afraid to speak out when interviewed because they want to be popular. That was a 'breath of fresh air'

With what I know about this show now being cancelled, I continue to be saddened.
This show for me, is like a celebration of black history, its representation, interviewees, positive, intelligent women of colour.
This show not having the support it SHOULD have had is a great shame!!!
I do understand people get rich and famous and move on but I also attended Mumford high school with the winan siblings when the use to stand at the lockers in the back hallways with their lockets wide open and mist of them had the few first and second albums taped inside their lockers before they became famous..yes I remember the younger days of the win an brothers before Percilla CesCee womans started singing

They are not comparable.The Clark Sisters all live in Detroit, except for their sister Denise. All the Winans don't.
Coming from someone who is a devotee of the show; I would just want the Sisters and their producers to branch out as far as Religion and Christianity are concerned. Why not have a black atheist on the show? A Muslim, a black Agnostic, an African spiritualist - someone who deviates from the social “norms” and who can shed light on their personal experiences/journeys. How many times do we have to hear about “Jesus this and Jesus that”. I understand this is in the south but, newsflash! we aren’t all monolithic. I feel like there could be teachable moments in which could shed light on how we can all unify as black people. I think the show needs more historians, political pundits, sociologist, psychologist, and less of pastors (no disrespect to Marvin Winans), and those damn comedians.
Her question at 6:42 was not the best question. It could’ve been asked more clearly. If she asked if there are differences between Gospel then and now, I would’ve appreciated the question a lot more. As much as I could say, both old and new, can learn from each other. The message of the Gospel and the culture of the Kingdom should not be bound by tradition and religion, people need Jesus! Let’s build bridges and not build up walls and preach the full Gospel 🙏🏾
