Great upload! So much yummy interesting food and yeh the part of Luang Prabang away from all the stupid whities looks way cooler! All the food I ate there was mostly homemade with the family I stayed it! They made a BEAUTIFUL spicy snake soup which was my favorite and also the Buffalo skewers they sold out front of their house were beautiful! Love Buffalo!

at 20:50, the one to the left is eggplant and the one to the right is sticky rice... according to the seller is telling. so the sticky rice one, is the left over rice that typically people will throw away, but someone found out that you could sun dried it than friy it into rice cake, like that then they pound it and add sauce and pa deak to it. this is the luang prabang version of name. its one of my favorite. ka num jean, in lao is called kaho pun at 22:38. at 26:48, she is asking you both your lao is really good and you you been in lao for sometime... how many years have you been? that lao burger version... when i was there i just got ebuns and everything and made me a lao burger... you are correct about tourist... in downtown. glad you both are helping the local, where money is needed.

Pun Mieang (vegetable and herb wrap) this one has eggplant (Lao baba ganoush), herbs, rice noodles, and a sticky rice with either peanut or sesame seed paste mixed in. Sometimes served with jeow dip. I like the ones with pork crackling, herbs like lemongrass, mint, eggplant; served with jeow padek. And thank you for respecting the conservative Lao culture by not parading around in skimpy clothings. There’s a place and time to dress down, and you’re right! When near a temple or monks please cover up! It’s like if one was to show up to church in our bikinis is a no no.

Lao people always eat buffalo meat just recently lao people starting eat cow meat. Some people still not eat cow meat because they believe cow is sacred animals. for a long time laos people eat only buffalo. Enjoy your trip in laos.
The word Kuai Laos - Water buffalo Northeastern Thai - Water buffalo The brightest mind of central Thai - “This will be the vilest slur for male genital.” You probably don’t get to eat buffalo meat in central Thailand but just in case. 😅
When you say buffalo in Thai or Laos, you need to be careful because it could mean penis if you pronounce it slightly wrong. In the video, you have pronounced it wrong several times. (Buffalo = kwaai penis = kuai )

Both syllables are having short vowels. The "Hi" should sound like the last 'i' in Hawaii. If you stretch out the vowels too long, instead of meaning snow, it will mean a horse or a dog's vagina.
