I have a 12 week GSD puppy with hip dysplasia. She is too young right now to get x-rays but the vet said she definitely has it. I'm trying to find the best way to support her body as early as possible for the best outcome. Do you recommend using your brace for a still-growing puppy? Or can it only be used once the growth plates have completed?

Well, I was hoping to get an answer from the vendor about the hip joint disc's, but it appears they don't respond here. Do you need two people to put the disc's in place everytime, or can you secure them once placed. Nice idea to be able to freeze them and I like that they have a hip lift included.

I have a male Akita that's in between sizes. They advice to go for the smaller size but I'm not sure the opening for the thigh will be wide enough. Plus, that strap on the lower back... ain't that an issue when the dog wants to poop? Looks to me the dog won't be able to lift his tail. Also, what about dog breeds with a curled tail like Akitas? Can they still carry their tail on top of their back?

Hi, which size did you end up buying? Any difficulty with pooping?

Hi - My 16-year-old dachshund popped her right hip out of the joint and it went straight back in again. However she is holding the right leg up a little when just standing, when she walks she puts weight onto the right leg but it luxates inward and the left leg trips over the luxating right leg. She has seen a vet and looked at by a neurologist, had x-rays and it is not a spine or disk issue, it is musculoskeletal. The x-rays showed all joints looking normal. I would like to offer her some hip support while in recovery. Is this the correct brace for her?
We are having difficulties with Covid in New Zealand and I can't get her back to a vet this week due to lockdown rules.
Please advise as I wish to order ASAP. Thanks
