This is just what I needed man! I have a TDA2003V in a CB installed now. RF is coming into pin 1 but nothing is leaving on pin 4. I feel like I've already found the problem but pulling it and testing it like this couldn't hurt. I've noticed others are testing with the ground lead on the metal tab.
I did it both ways but with the red lead I do not get readings on pin 1 and 2 only on 4 and 5 Doing it like he did I do get readings on 1,2,4, and 5 but I am doing the test with the IC in the circuit so I don't know how accurate is my test.
@@howTobest. I tested the IC in the circuit with the multimeter and these are the readings I got pin 1-.773 pin 2-.778 pin 3-0.00 pin 4-.517 pin 5- .541 do these readings mean it is good? Thank you. Great video!👍
@@SDsailor7 Hie, sorry the late response. yes you can test it in circuit but it is advisable to test components off circuit. Your results tells me that your ic is good working condition.
