Oil and gas for 4.5 years and was away, women like a wife can’t handle it so they cheat, then take the kids away all because she was lonely. Don’t work oil and gas unless your single and neee money
you just never had a good woman to start with. a good woman has no problem with a good man being away half the time. it's all about if you have love, and a purpose together, goals.
If the Industry did not lay everyone off every slow down maybe there would be more interest and more retention. Hire and fire is the way in the patch. Fix this issue and people will want to go to work and work hard.
Idiot. Name one industry that doesn't lay people off when things slow down. Auto industry does it, service industry does, manufacturing does ot. Etc etc. This is pretty basic stuff. Maybe get a book like "Economics for Dummies" and learn how the economy works. Smh.
most people i know have not been laid off since 2009. just depends on your job type, and if you do get laid off every 4 or 5 years, great, time to rest, travel, and get get more certifications.
Well, ladies, here's some job opportunities! You'll apply, right? You aren't going to stay in those safe office jobs while complaining about a lack of women in politics or STEM, are you?
almost all the people i know who work in oil & gas in AB have not been laid off ever. just depends on what your job is. and if you do, you made tonnes of money while you were working, so it's time to rest, travel, and get more certifications.
All jobs are fickle, you might as well get good money when you can. You'll get laid of or not be able to find work in every industry when theres a downturn.
Doesn’t help that nobody is hiring. I’ve sent over 100 applications across the construction, oil & gas, and mining sectors. 3 responses. 2 ghosted me after telling them I’d have to put in my two weeks at my current place of employment. One of them I got a pre interview but didn’t move on. 3 out of 100+ for someone that has labour experience is pretty disheartening.
@@vanessaolivamejia3430 is best to be in Canada. you can apply online, and go to a few companies in person, and he will get job offers right away. need to use a local address and be ready to start right away, otherwise companies may not be interested. and you need to obtain a few safety certificates as well that take a few days. Every company is hiring, after a few days of doing your safety certificates, you will have a job for sure. But you may need help with your resume, and how/where to apply. You need to know the area, the companies, and a little strategy.
Start paying more...people will flock there to work. You guys pay less so...why people would work soo hard for so less money. And lastly, allow feminist to work. Don't discriminate 👍
